World’s First Android iPhone X? LEAGOO S9 Ready for Launch @ MWC2018
The year of 2017 has witnessed the rise and prosperity of full-screen smartphones. The full-screen edgeless design has rapidly become the most trending elements by taking the place of dual cameras. Naturally, it will also be the new standard for most flagship phones in 2018.
Currently, there are basically three different types of full-screen designs. The first and most popular one is the so called “Infinity Display”, named by Samsung and represented by Samsung S8/S8+. The second version is “Tri-bezel-less Display”, which is embodied by Xiaomi Mi Mix series. The last but most uncommon one is the “Notch Display”, with iPhone X as its model.
On one hand, the design and production of “notch display” is much more difficult and complicated than that of the normal full screen. On the other hand, the “notch display ” is still not widely accepted by customers due to its odd styles. So far, apart from iPhone X, only SHARP AQUOS S2 and Essential Phone have adopted “notch” display but they are both differentiated from iPhone X “notch”.
However, as several months passed after its launch, iPhone X’s FACE ID proves to be more convenient and flexible than the normal touch ID. Plus, the iPhone X’s immersive display effects also provide nice user experience, making the “notch display” increasingly more popular with each passing day. Recently, sources show that Huawei has also designed its latest flagship – P20 into a “notch display” phone, which is a solid proof of “notch display” popularity.
Not coincidentally, a set of photos showing another “notch display” phone is leaked from LEAGOO – one of the leading export smartphone brands in China. The leaked photos indicate that LEAGOO’s new product is also a “notch phone” just like iPhone X. Sources in the LEAGOO mentioned that the phone is called “LEAGOO S9”.
Until now, it is still unknown what specs and features will be applied on LEAGOO S9. But according to LEAGOO sources, LEAGOO S9 adopts FACE ID which is identical with iPhone X and can be unlocked within 0.1 second. It also features 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM and 5.85“ HD+ IPS display.
According to LEAGOO’s product roadmaps, LEAGOO S9 will be launched on MWC2018 in Barcelona on February in alliance with top Premier League team – Tottenham Hotspur.
