xDuoo MT-601S, Brand New Tube+Class A Transistor Headphone Amplifier
xDuoo makes some great performing desktop and portable HiFi audio gear. Last year, they released the “MT” series of desktop audio gears mainly including the MT-601/602 tube+transistor hybrid headphone amplifiers. Today, they have released an update to the highly-acclaimed MT-601, introducing the all-new xDuoo MT-601S. With a 12AU7/ECC82 tube in the pre-amp stage and a transistor-based Class A headphone amplifier, the MT-601S brings us the best of both worlds. It produces rich, smooth vocals, and highly-resolving output that will suit most headphones out there!
The primary upgrade with the MT-601S over the OG model is the upgrade on the Tube in the pre-amp stage. Earlier the OG model came equipped with a 6N11/E88CC tube but the new MT-601S adopts the newer and better-performing 12AU7/ECC82 tube in the pre-amp stage. It adds a touch of smoothness, a touch of lushness, and a touch of richness to the output signal. With the MT-601S in your chain, you will notice richer vocals that instantly enhance your music-listening experience. In order to complement the rich tone of the Tube pre-amp, MT-601S features a transistor-based headphone amp with a Class A buffer. It seems like a pretty impressive device designed to instantly enhance our musical experience.
MT-601S houses a single-ended 6.35mm headphone output that provides up to 200mW of clean, precise output at 32Ω of impedance load. It supports headphones from 16Ω to 600Ω impedance. MT-601S similar to other devices in the series features an exquisite design with a beautiful Grey shell and Red volume knob. Its outer shell is made using high-quality aluminum alloy material which not only provides a solid build but also protects the signal from external noise/signal interferences. xDuoo MT-601S adopts high-quality enthusiast-grade Japanese ELNA SILMIC(II) capacitors and RUBYCON capacitors for a smooth, warm, splendid sound performance.
xDuoo has launched the MT-601S at the same price as the original model, priced at 89$ only.
