Xidu PhilBook Max vs Xidu Touchscreen 2-in-1 Laptop: which one is more appropriate?
As a laptop lover, I am fond of exploring all laptops that have been launched on the market. Recently, I am more interested in an emerging laptop brand, XIDU. Founded in 2014, Shenzhen Baohuazhong Technology Co., Ltd. specializes in researching, developing, manufacturing and selling laptops and tablets, particularly the touchscreen types. Several laptops have been released until now, such as the PhilPad 13.3-inch 2-in-1 Tablet, 12.5-inch 2K Windows Laptop, PhilBook 11.6-inch 2-in-1 Laptop and 14.1-inch PhilBook Max Laptop.
With the strong curiosity, I have ordered the XIDU PhilBook Max and XIDU PhilBook. It is said that the former is more suitable for business office and multitask, and the latter is featured by portable performance. Let’s explore more interesting information by having a look at their similarities and differences;
Similarities
2-in-1 Convertible Design + Full HD IPS Display + 1920*1080 resolution + Useful Interfaces
As we all know, XIDU is featured by 2-in-1 convertible design, so are the both laptops! With 360° flexible hinge, you can rotate both to enjoy four modes, laptop, tablet, stand and tent modes. In addition, equipped with the multi-touch controlling display, it enables users to drag, click, type anything just with fingers and get rid of mouse and keyboard totally, which makes it perfect for users who have usage habits on smart phones as well.
In spite of different screen size which will be introduced later, both XIDU PhilBook Max and XIDU Touchscreen 2-in-1 Laptop adopt HD IPS display. For all laptop lovers, full screen is preferred which can provide better viewing experience. The IPS display is also an advantage. Furthermore, their 1920*1080 resolution perfectly fits document editing and web browsing. Laptops with high resolution not only provide clear and colorful picture display, but also protect our eyesight. I worried about their interfaces which could not meet my daily use, but it really offered me a big surprise because they have all necessary interfaces! For example, the Mini HDMI, USB 2.0 / 3.0, Microphone Jack, SSD card slot, and Bluetooth 4.0 / 4.2.
Differences
Color + Screen Size + Processor + Memory
XIDU launches the 2019 XIDU PhilBook Max for catering to business demands, while the XIDU Touchscreen 2-in-1 Laptop is released for daily light entertainment. Hence, there are some differences about their colors, screen size, processors and memories. For the 14.1-inch PhilBook Max, it has a strong aluminium alloy body while astonishingly portable weight. Its space gray painting appearance not only signifies mature&noble business image, but shows generous fashion.
Compared with the Intel Atom processor, 4GB RAM and 64 GBeMMX equipped by the budget touchscreen 2-in-1 laptop, the PhilBook Max comes with an Intel Apollo Lake CPU (at up to 2.5GHz burst frequency) with 6GB RAM and 128GB SSD, making users operate common office software smoothly, watch large picture and video processing apps and even play heavy games. What attracts me most is the backlit keyboard that perfectly suits my needs who always works overtime or burns the midnight oil.
But if you are a student who hopes to have an excellent laptop but has no enough budget, the 11.6-inch one may be appropriate too because its cheaper price and great performance which isn’t inferior to any expensive ones. According to the above information, which one do you want? the PhilBook Max (USD 339.99 on Amazon) or the XIDU Touchscreen 2-in-1 Laptop (USD 224.99 on Amazon)? Get ready to buy one of them to start your 2-in-1 convertible world!
