Yamaha YAS-209 / YAS-109 Smart Soundbars powered by MediaTek
The recently announced Yamaha YAS-209 and YAS-109 are both soundbars with support for Amazon Alexa voice assistant (where available), meaning you can move that living room Echo somewhere else.
Providing great audio on a budget, they’re ideal adding cinematic sound to TVs, and they also offer an exceptionally easy-to-use interface that allows you to adjust it via voice control.
Of course, there’s also the other benefits of Alexa – smart home integration and smart speaker callouts for music streaming services, weather updates, memo’s, timers and all the rest.
The YAS-209 adds a wireless subwoofer versus the YAS-109’s built in subwoofer. Both soundbars feature all the modern connectivity you might expect such as 4K HDMI inputs with ARC, HDR support, and CEC for control with compatible remotes, should you not want to use your voice.
Yamaha has tapped a popular MediaTek chip for premium smart speakers to power these devices; providing a responsive quad-core processor, superb power-efficiency and rich connectivity.
