ASUS Collaborates with Silicom and Intel for 5G Open RAN Acceleration
ASUS, the leading IT company in servers and workstations that tops the industry in server performance with over 759 benchmark world records on SPEC.org, announced a joint collaboration with Silicom and Intel® to enable the commercial deployment of 5G Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) at scale and offer network operators the ability to mix and match best-of-breed hardware and software to build 5G environments from the O-RAN to the core.

Silicom, an industry-leading provider of high-performance networking and data-infrastructure solutions, is extending its 4G/5G investments into Open RAN solutions and ASUS has been involved at the early development stages of the server design to optimize Silicom’s well-known TimeSync and FEC technologies for the systems.
