FiiO Q5s is one of the most famous USB DAC/AMPs of its generation. FiiO has now updated the Q5s with new technology to keep up with today’s market. It has got an update right from the heart with a new updated Dual DAC chipset, THX AAA amplification module, USB Signal Receiver, Bluetooth Signal Receiver, and most importantly the USB Interface.

Replaceable AMP Modules
Just like the previous generation FiiO Q5s, the latest Q5s Type-C also features replaceable AMP modules. As for the stock package, it comes bundled with a high-performance THX AAA-78 AMP module with 3.5mm PO and 4.4mm Bal output ports. It has an output power rating of up to 220mW @ 32 Ohm from the single-ended 3.5mm port and up to 560mW @ 32 Ohm from the 4.4mm Bal output port.
High-Performance AKM DAC Chipset
The latest FiiO Q5s Type-C is equipped with a powerful dual DAC chipset housing two high-performance AK4493EQ DAC chips. It is a premium 32-Bit 2CH DAC with AKM’s patented Velvet Sound Technology. The DAC chips are arranged in an independent manner, one for the left channel and the other for the right channel.
High Decoding Capabilities
The FiiO Q5s Type-C is equipped with an XMOS XU208 USB signal receiver chip the Q5s offers unmatched decoding capabilities. It can decode PCM up to 32-Bit/768kHz, DSD up to DSD512 natively. Paired with the high-performance AK4493EQ Dual DAC chipset, the Q5s offer a high-resolution sound experience with low-distortion and crisp clarity.
Unmatched Bluetooth Performance
The Q5s Type-C is equipped with a QCC5124 Bluetooth chip. It provides impeccable Bluetooth performance with V5.0 connectivity and hi-res codecs support including LDAC, AptX HD, AptX LL, AptX Adaptive, and more.
Audiophile-Grade Power Supply
In order to get the best sound experience a high-quality power supply unit is a must in audio devices. It lowers the chances of getting electrical noise or disturbances in the output. FiiO has equipped the Q5s Type-C with a high-quality audiophile-grade power supply unit consisting of low-noise LDO regulators. The analog, digital, low-pass, and amplification circuits of the Q5s Type-C are independently powered to ensure a pure sound output without any disturbances.
Battery Life
The latest FiiO Q5s Type-C features a large 3800mAh battery. It provides a battery life of up to 25 hours on Aux input and up to 9.5 hours on other input options. This is more than enough for portable and desktop use for long music sessions. It gets fully charged in just around 3 hours with a 2A charger slot.
