  1. Renato says:

You can’t remove the battery on the P8000.
If you want the flash tool to recognize your phone, you need to start the phone in fastboot mode (restart with vol- and power button, then select fastboot), then connect it to the computer using the USB cable, then press the Download button on the flash tool and then power the phone off by a long press of the power button.
The phone won’t have time to enter the charging mode and it will get recognized by the flash tool.

  2. Srpayo says:

This worked for me using Windows 10 (you have to disable enforced driver signature first) after the 2nd try. When going into the Recovery Mode there’s a step missing. When you press Power + Volume UP it takes you to a tiny menu with only 3 options:

    Recovery
    Fastboot
    Normal

Choose Recovery by pressing Volume Down button when selected and it will take you to the CWM Recovery Screen where you can use the ‘Install zip’ bit.

I also managed to install Xposed Framework for Lollipop on the phone by using the arm64 zip file and following same process as above:

No more YouTube Ad, no in-app Ads and Background YouTube working fine! Thanks!

can u do this without a sd card in the phone?

  4. Chris says:

I keep on getting an error message when I select the scatter loading file: recovery.img (from the P8000 folder).

    SP FLASH TOOL ERROR:8417

The load scatter file is invalid.

I tried using the MT6753_Android_scatter.txt file and hit download but nothing happened. Any help would be appreciated.

  5. Lajos says:

yes for me the same error

    SP FLASH TOOL ERROR:8417
The load scatter file is invalid.

    is it the file error?

  6. Florisz says:

Thank you, I managed to do this.
When phone is off and not connected.
Extracted downloaded files to a folder on pc
Then installed the driver from the driver folder(windows 7 32bit)
Copied the supersu zip file to the sd card of the p8000(took the sd card out of the phone and placed in my pc)
Volume up + power button to get to the 3 choice menu(recovery, fastboot or normal) and chose for fastboot.
Then started the flashtool and loaded the scatter text file from the p8000 recovery folder.
Pressed the Download button in the flashtool
Connected the p8000 to the pc.
Turned the p8000 off(holding the power button)
Then just waited of the download OK popup from the flash tool.

I can’t say, since we don’t have your device.
We always take risks to find out for you, but in this case maybe is better for you to ask in forums before you try…

  12. jeff says:

Well.. for me, the flash goes well, but when I go in recovery mode, I have the logo then the phone reboot and restarts without starting the recovery. If I redo the manipulation, then I fall on “android system recovery” and not on cwm .. any idea?
