New HiBy R8 Android Music Player With Increased RAM & Internal Storage
HiBy is bringing back its highly successful R8 flagship Android music player. Last year HiBy released its flagship R8 with industry-leading specs for an Android Hi-Res player. It has received nothing else but just positive feedbacks from its users all around the globe. The player featured a powerful Dual DAC chipset, independent crystal oscillators, special Turbo AMP mode, and many more features. It went out of stock just after a few weeks of its release.
HiBy has announced the re-release of the flagship R8 with upgraded Internal Storage and Upgraded RAM. This new HiBy R8 is equipped with 6 GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, the previous had 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. This new model also retains the design of the OG with a classy aluminum alloy build. The increase in RAM and internal storage has slightly affected the pricing too, while the previous 4GB RAM R8 had a price tag of 1899$, the new 6GB RAM R8 has a price tag of 1999$.

Flagship-Grade Audio Chipset
HiBy has designed a high-performance audio architecture for the R8 to ensure flagship-grade performance. The player is equipped with dual AK4497 AKM DAC chips that provide high-resolution audio signal decoding with ultra-low distortion and high SNR ratings. It achieves distortion ratings of as low as 0.00083% and a high signal to noise ratio of up to 117dB, both things ensuring a clean, noise-free sound output. Each and everything on the audio motherboard are carefully chosen to deliver a high-resolution performance. HiBy R8 is a hub of premium components housing Dual Independent femtosecond crystal oscillators, Deeply customized OP02 OPAmps, a high-performance USB processor, and more.
High-Resolution Decoding & MQA Decoding Support
HiBy R8 supports high-resolution audio signal decoding with support for PCM up to 32-Bit/768kHz and DSD up to DSD512 natively. The player supports full MQA decoding, bringing the latest Master Quality file decoding and rendering capabilities to your pocket. R8 brings you as close as possible to high-resolution audio.
Single-Ended & Balanced Both Connections Supported
The HiBy R8 houses both single-ended and balanced output options. In fact, the player features four different output ports. Two 3.5mm single-ended ports, one for line out and one for headphone out, and similarly Two 4.4mm balanced ports, one for line out and another for headphone output.
Hub Of Turbo Music Power
One simply doesn’t have to worry about any power issues with the new HiBy R8. It supports the advanced Turbo mode that instantly increases the power supply to the AMP stage hence resulting in overall humongous output power. The player is capable of providing up to 300mW through the single-ended 3.5mm headphone ports and up to 1088mW from the 4.4mm balanced connection.
High Capacity Battery with Turbo Mode
HiBy R8 houses a high capacity 38Wh ATL customized battery that features a turbo mode. Turbo mode greatly increases the power supply voltage to the Amplification circuit which results in increased output power while maintaining a clean output signal.
Lightning-Fast Performance
HiBy R8 comes equipped with a lightning-fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 CPU chip and up to 6GB of RAM. It offers snappy performance with zero lag in opening multiple media applications at once. You will get a smartphone-like smooth user interface with an open Android 9.0 OS that also opens doors to unlimited applications on the device.
Full HD Crisp Display with Corning Gorilla Glass
HiBy R8 is one of the only few Hi-Res digital audio players in the market to feature a full HD 1080p display. The player features a large 5.5” display with crisp full HD 1080P resolution. It has fifth-generation corning gorilla glass for protection. The screen has a wide-angle ratio of 16:9 with a crisp 400ppi resolution.
Pricing & Availability
The new HiBy R8 has a price tag of 1999$. It has received a 100$ price increase from the OG 4GB RAM model, but considering the increased RAM and doubled internal storage the increment feels worth it.
