Premium THX AAA Amplification Module
THX Onyx is the world’s first USB DAC/AMP to utilize the power of the THX AAA-78 amplification module. Previously this was only found in the M11 Pro Digital Audio Player from FiiO. It uses a patented feed-forward topology to reduce all forms of noise and distortion in the output resulting in a clean, noise, and distortion-free sound output. The Ultra-low noise of the THX Onyx™ is ideal for sensitive IEMs, and its high output power is optimal for headphones.
High-Performance DAC Chip
THX Onyx features a high-performance ES9281Pro audio signal decoding chip with HyperStream® II modulation that provides a dynamic range of 124 dB DNR and -112 Total Harmonic Distortion plus Noise (THD+N). It supports Hi-Res signal decoding up to 32-Bit/384kHz PCM, DSD, and MQA rendering.
Premium Metallic Chassis
THX Onyx features a premium finish with small size aesthetics allowing the device to be completely portable, flexible, and durable. The USB-C connector has a magnetic folding mechanism to latch onto itself and help organize your cables. On one end, a 3.5mm connection for your headphones and a USB connector on the other. Take it with you anywhere and quickly connect the USB-C end to your smartphone. For PC or laptop, A Male USB-A Adapter gives you a USB connector that will provide a mechanically reliable connection.
Three LED Indicators
There are Three front LED lights that let you know precisely the quality of the audio you are listening to — CD quality, Hi-Res PCM, Direct Stream Digital (DSD), and Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) recordings.
MQA Rendering Support
THX Onyx™ is a hardware MQA renderer. Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) is an award-winning audio technology that enables music fans to stream the original master recording into their home, car, or mobile. THX Onyx fully decodes MQA files and provides an unmatchable experience for its users.
In-Line Mic Support
If your HiFi earphones come with in-line mic controls, the THX Onyx lets you utilize the full potential of the Mic for voice calls, gaming chat, and other services.
