REDMAGIC Astra 2 Gaming Tablet Launches July 17

REDMAGIC is preparing to raise the bar once again in mobile gaming hardware with the upcoming REDMAGIC Astra 2 Gaming Tablet, officially scheduled for announcement on July 17 at 14:00 CEST. Built around the campaign slogan “Icy Veins. Infinite Frames.”, the Astra 2 is presented as a next-generation gaming tablet designed for players who want serious cooling, high refresh-rate visuals, flagship performance, and long gaming sessions without compromise.

The biggest headline is cooling. REDMAGIC describes the Astra 2 as the first tablet with visible liquid cooling, combining Liquid Metal 3.0 with a large VC vapor chamber to improve thermal efficiency during demanding gameplay. For mobile gamers, this is more than a visual gimmick. Better cooling can help maintain performance over longer sessions, especially in graphically intensive games where heat buildup often leads to frame drops, throttling, and inconsistent responsiveness.

Performance is another core selling point. The Astra 2 is teased with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processing and REDMAGIC’s RedCore R4 gaming chip, a combination positioned by the brand as its most powerful Android tablet performance yet. That makes the device clearly targeted at players who want console-style responsiveness in a portable format, whether they are into competitive shooters, racing games, RPGs, cloud gaming, emulation, or high-frame-rate Android titles.

The display also looks built for speed. REDMAGIC lists a 9.06-inch 2.4K OLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 185Hz and brightness of up to 1600 nits. On a gaming tablet, those numbers matter: OLED should deliver deep contrast and vivid colors, while the high refresh rate is aimed at smoother motion, faster input feedback, and a more fluid visual experience during fast gameplay.

Battery life and charging are equally important for a device designed around extended play. The Astra 2 is teased with an 8,300mAh battery and 75W fast charging, giving users more freedom to play longer and recover battery capacity quickly between sessions. This makes the tablet more practical not only for gaming at home, but also for travel, streaming, content consumption, and everyday entertainment.

REDMAGIC is also turning the launch into an interactive campaign. Visitors can join the Escape the Maze Challenge, helping Mora escape the maze for a chance to win a free REDMAGIC Astra 2 and other exclusive rewards. The campaign includes social sharing with #REDMAGICAstra2 and tagging @redmagicgaming, giving fans more ways to participate before the official reveal. The listed rewards include one free REDMAGIC Astra 2, an exclusive discount pack valued at €100, REDMAGIC GO Power units, and REDMAGIC merchandise packs.

The official REDMAGIC EU store campaign also highlights several shopping perks, including flexible payment methods, REDMAGIC XP points for rewards, free shipping on orders over €400, secure shopping, and 15-day hassle-free returns. These extras make the launch page more than a simple product teaser; it is also a pre-launch hub for fans who want updates, offers, and a chance to be among the first to experience REDMAGIC’s next gaming tablet.

The REDMAGIC Astra 2 Gaming Tablet is shaping up to be one of the most aggressive Android gaming tablets of the year. With visible liquid cooling, flagship-class processing, a dedicated gaming chip, a 185Hz OLED display, a large battery, and 75W fast charging, it is clearly designed for gamers who want speed, stability, and visual impact in one compact machine.

The countdown is on: REDMAGIC Astra 2 launches July 17 at 14:00 CEST. For gamers looking for the next step in high-performance Android tablets, this is one announcement worth watching closely.
