GMKTEC EVO-T1 96GB + 2TB Is Back in Stock
The GMKTEC EVO-T1 is back, and this time the high-end 96GB RAM + 2TB SSD configuration returns in extremely limited numbers, with only 19 units announced as available. For anyone looking for a Mini PC that goes far beyond the usual compact-office formula, the EVO-T1 is one of those machines that immediately attracts attention because it combines flagship-class Intel hardware, enormous memory capacity, serious storage expansion and workstation-oriented connectivity inside a chassis that still occupies only a fraction of the space of a conventional desktop.
At the heart of the EVO-T1 is Intel’s Core Ultra 9 285H, a 16-core, 16-thread processor capable of reaching up to 5.4GHz, paired with Intel Arc 140T integrated graphics and an architecture designed not only for conventional CPU workloads but also for the increasingly important AI-accelerated applications appearing in modern creative and productivity software. For video editing, large image libraries, multitasking, content management, virtual machines and the dozens of browser tabs that inevitably accumulate during a busy editorial day, this is exactly the kind of hardware configuration that makes a compact PC genuinely interesting as a main workstation rather than simply a secondary machine.
The returning configuration is particularly impressive because GMKTEC combines the Core Ultra 9 platform with 96GB of DDR5-5600 memory and a 2TB SSD, providing an unusually generous amount of working memory straight out of the box. Two SO-DIMM slots support up to 128GB, while the internal storage architecture includes three M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots, with GMKTEC quoting support for as much as 12TB of total SSD capacity. That gives the EVO-T1 considerable room to grow, especially for users working with large 4K video projects, local media archives, development environments or extensive photo collections.
Connectivity is equally ambitious. Dual 2.5Gbps LAN makes the EVO-T1 particularly attractive for NAS access and faster local-network transfers, while Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 cover wireless connectivity. OCuLink is another important addition, giving enthusiasts considerably more flexibility when experimenting with external graphics solutions, while the available HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB4 and USB-C display outputs allow the system to drive as many as four displays, including high-resolution setups reaching up to 8K.
GMKTEC has also equipped the EVO-T1 with a twin-turbofan cooling system, an important consideration when placing a powerful Core Ultra 9 processor inside such a compact enclosure. The chassis itself has a much more substantial workstation character than many conventional Mini PCs, with a broad selection of front and rear ports making frequently connected peripherals easy to access without turning the machine into a permanent collection of adapters and hubs.
The current promotion makes the return even more noticeable. GMKTEC lists the EVO-T1 96GB + 2TB at $2,199.99, down from $2,999.99, while the promotional material also highlights shipping within 48 hours and free shipping with duties included for U.S. orders. With only 19 units advertised, however, this is clearly not the kind of configuration that is likely to remain available indefinitely.
From my perspective at China Gadgets Reviews, the EVO-T1 is exactly the sort of Mini PC I would like to have permanently running in the CGR newsroom. The combination of 96GB of RAM, expandable multi-SSD storage, dual 2.5GbE networking, OCuLink and the Core Ultra 9 285H would make it an exceptionally capable central workstation for preparing articles, processing large photo galleries, editing 4K review footage and managing several demanding applications simultaneously, while still preserving the clean, compact setup that makes powerful Mini PCs so appealing in the first place.
For users who have been waiting for this particular high-memory configuration to return, the GMKTEC EVO-T1 96GB + 2TB is once again available — but with just 19 units announced, this looks very much like a limited opportunity rather than a permanent restock.
