Huawei M5 Youth edition tablet, video entertainment and home education
On March 25, Huawei officially released two new tablet products in Xi’an. The models are 8-inch Huawei M5 youth edition and 10-inch Huawei M5 youth edition high-end version. The new tablet features video entertainment, family education and other functions. The price starts from 1199 CNY (about $178) and 2199 CNY (about $327).
The 8-inch Huawei tablet M5 youth edition weighs only 310g. It also uses a 8.0-inch 16:10 full-HD IPS display, 1920 x 1200 resolution and 283 MPI. It is equipped with Kirin 710 chip and supports GPU Turbo with a battery capacity of 5100 mAh.
The back of the body adopts a symmetrical aesthetic design. It adopts an integrated metal body and aviation grade aluminium sandblasting technology. In terms of the speaker, it works with Hamankarton to tune and support HUAWEI Histen sound technology. In terms of hardware, it adopts a symmetrical dual loudspeaker design. When the user grasps the voice from left and right channels, it presents super stereo effect.
Considering that many tablets are used by children at home, the screen of the 8-inch Huawei M5 youth edition supports filtering blue light technology to achieve eye protection mode and alleviate eye fatigue. Through the function of gravity induction and arithmetic judgment, we can determine whether the child is sitting correctly, so as to give an effective reminder and avoid the physical health problems caused by the incorrect sitting posture. And there are strict control options in use time.
In terms of configuration, the 8-inch Huawei tablet M5 youth edition carries the Kirin 710 chip, with 75% improvement in single-core performance and 68% improvement in multi-core performance. It supports GPU Turbo with a 5100 mAh battery capacity.
There are two color options for the 8-inch Huawei tablet M5: champagne gold and deep-space grey. There are 4 versions of 3GB+32GB WIFI, 4GB+64GB WIFI, 3GB+32GB All Netcom and 4GB+64GB All Netcom, selling at $178, $208, $223 and $237 respectively. The 10-inch Huawei tablet M5 youth edition has 4 GB + 128 GB WIFI and 4 GB + 128 GB Netcom versions. The price is $327 and $356 respectively.
