SmallRig T99 Triple-Proof V-Mount Battery: Built to Survive
What immediately sets the SmallRig T99 apart is its industry-first triple-proof construction. Unlike standard V-Mount batteries that require careful handling on set, the T99 is engineered to withstand accidental drops from heights of up to 1.8 meters (5.9 feet), providing an additional layer of confidence when working on location, climbing rigs, operating gimbals, or shooting in fast-paced production environments. Combined with its IP54-rated protection against water splashes and dust ingress, the T99 remains dependable whether you’re filming in light rain, dusty outdoor locations, construction sites, desert landscapes, or unpredictable travel conditions.
Despite its ruggedized design, the T99 remains fully airline compliant thanks to its 99Wh capacity. Delivering 14.54V output while staying within airline carry-on regulations, it offers an ideal balance between runtime and travel convenience. For creators constantly moving between productions, countries, and shooting locations, this means powerful, dependable energy without the restrictions associated with higher-capacity battery systems.
The T99 also functions as a versatile professional power hub. Equipped with one BP port, three D-Tap outputs, two USB-C ports, and one USB-A port, it can simultaneously power cameras, monitors, wireless video transmitters, LED lighting, smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other production accessories. This extensive connectivity transforms a single battery into a centralized power solution, reducing cable clutter and streamlining on-set workflows.
One of its most impressive features is the inclusion of dual USB-C PD 3.0 ports supporting up to 100W bidirectional charging and output. Both ports can rapidly recharge the battery in approximately two hours while also delivering substantial power to demanding devices such as laptops, portable workstations, field monitors, and mobile production gear. This flexibility allows creators to spend less time waiting for batteries to charge and more time capturing content.
At the core of the T99 are premium LG battery cells selected for their long operational lifespan, consistent performance, and exceptional safety characteristics. These high-quality cells are paired with an advanced Battery Management System (BMS) smart chip and precision circuit architecture that continuously monitors operation, protecting connected equipment against overcharging, overheating, overcurrent, and other electrical risks. The result is stable, reliable power delivery for valuable production hardware.
SmallRig has also paid close attention to practical usability. A rear-facing LED light improves visibility when working in dark studios, backstage environments, night shoots, or low-light locations. Integrated 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threaded mounting points provide additional flexibility for attaching the battery directly to rigs, cages, stands, and production accessories, helping creators build cleaner and more efficient setups.
The SmallRig T99 Triple-Proof V-Mount Battery represents a significant evolution in professional portable power. By combining airline-safe capacity, industry-leading durability, extensive connectivity, ultra-fast USB-C charging, premium LG cells, and intelligent safety protections, it delivers a robust power solution designed for creators who regularly push beyond the controlled environment of the studio.
For filmmakers and content creators who need dependable power in challenging conditions, the T99 is more than just a battery—it’s a rugged production companion engineered to keep cameras rolling wherever the next project takes you.
