AKM’s flagship AK4499 chipset is known for its exceptionally solid performance helping the SU-9 Ultra to achieve best-in-class decoding characteristics. Right next to the AKM’s flagship chipset, we have XMOS XU316, the 3rd generation 16-core USB signal processor on the SU-9 Ultra. This is a true 32-bit USB solution that enables decoding for high-resolution 32-bit/768kHz PCM and native DSD512 audio signals on the device. Along with USB, we also have Coaxial and optical digital inputs, as well as Bluetooth wireless input mode. The SU-9 Ultra supports wireless Bluetooth V5.0 connectivity with LDAC, AptX HD, SBC, and AAC transmission protocols. Another key feature of the SMSL SU9 Ultra is the MQA and MQA-CD support. It supports MQA signal decoding through both USB and SPDIF input modes.
