SMSL has released a brand-new desktop DAC/AMP, the SMSL RAW-MDA1. It is an all-in-one Desktop DAC and Headphone amplifier designed with latest-generation hardware for an impressive High-Fidelity audio performance. The RAW-MDA1 houses dual ESS Sabre’s latest ES9039Q2M 32-bit DAC chipset at its core. Combined with the 3rd generation 16-core XMOS XU316 USB Processor, the RAW-MDA1 supports leading PCM and DSD audio signals. SMSL RAW-MDA1 is a brilliant device. SMSL has equipped it with top-quality latest hardware to deliver the best performance in its price class. At the heart and core, we have a premium dual-DAC arrangement. As mentioned earlier, the device houses dual ES9039Q2M latest-gen high-end DAC chips. They offer excellent performance with a maximum dynamic range of 132dB. This dual DAC setup is supported by XMOS 3rd Gen XU316 USB Processor that enables smooth USB signal processing and promises decoding support for 32-Bit/768kHz PCM and native DSD512 audio signals. SMSL RAW-MDA1 also features a low-jitter clock circuit.
We are also excited to announce that the SMSL RAW-MDA1 has full support for processing MQA and MQA-CD audio signals. You can hook up your MQA-Enabled CD Player and get studio-grade sound performance with the RAW-MDA1. SMSL has designed a high-power amp section on the RAW-MDA1. It consists of six OPA1612A operational amplifier chips. They produce a strong output thrust providing up to 2.5W per channel output through the 4.4mm balanced output. The RAW-MDA1 has multiple output options. This includes RCA+XLR line-out options and 6.35mm+4.4mm headphone output ports.
SMSL RAW-MDA1 is a complete device. It has multiple input options supported including USB, Wireless Bluetooth, etc. Wireless Bluetooth input is powered by a high-performance Qualcomm Bluetooth chipset. It supports Bluetooth V5.1 connection with high-resolution LDAC, AptX HD, AptX Adaptive, etc. transmission protocols support. It features a colourful OLED display screen. SMSL has featured its self-developed low-noise power supply. It has been customized to provide proper power to different sections of the audio circuitry.
