See Audio Kaguya 2 Flagship Nine-Driver Hybrid IEMs
See Audio is a renowned name in the HiFi IEM market. For the past many years, See Audio has released several amazing sets of in-ear monitors that are loved by audiophiles worldwide. Back in its early days in the market, See Audio designed its ultimate flagship, See Audio Kaguya. It’s time for an upgrade, we have the all-new See Audio Kaguya 2 here. The new Kaguya 2 has got a complete overhaul on its design, from the 4 BA+4 EST 8-driver setup of the OG model, we have come far ahead in terms of technology in 2025. After about seven years of the OG release, See Audio has packed the Kaguya 2 with a nine-driver hybrid setup featuring four different types of drivers on each side. The pair packs a unique combination of one dynamic driver, four balanced armature drivers, two electrostatic drivers, and two bone conduction drivers. Using professional engineering, See Audio has equipped the Kaguya2 with a complex six-way frequency crossover that ensures a clean, full-phase frequency band, and a highly cohesive three-frequency response that complements different genres of music well together.
See Audio has taken a huge jump in its driver setup from the OG model. Actually, the new Kaguya 2 is designed from the ground up. As mentioned earlier in this blog, Kaguya 2 houses a nine-driver hybrid setup on each side featuring one dynamic driver, four balanced armature drivers, two bone conduction drivers, and two electrostatic drivers. Together with this innovative driver configuration, the pair promises an astonishing sound quality output, delivering great details, a natural, balanced profile, and excellent extensions at both ends of the frequency spectrum.
In order to get the best out of this complex driver arrangement, See Audio has designed the pair with a professionally designed six-way frequency crossover. With this precise crossover, the pair gets accurate frequency division and consistency among the different drivers. They reproduce a highly cohesive sound response, making the multi-driver setup sound like a single high-end monitor. Thanks to this crossover design, the dynamic driver delivers deep, airy bass. The bone conduction setup adds density and physicality, while the balanced armature drivers handle tight bass, natural midrange, and defined treble. The EST drivers deliver great extensions in the ultra-high frequency region.
Traditionally, multi-driver arrangements with multi-way crossover designs are super hard to implement. SeeAudio has nailed that with a professional team of acoustic engineers. Despite the complex arrangement, they have blended those multiple drivers perfectly with proper phase alignment, delivering a unified, accurate timbre across different drivers. See Audio Kaguya2 also packs stunning looks. We are all aware of how beautifully See Audio designs its IEMs. The Kaguya2 here is no different. The pair has lively looks with a perfect blend of natural blue mica along with a triple-layered gold foil on the face covers. The glittery blue and shiny golden sparkles create an intricate design. The shells are made up of high-quality resin material, ensuring great comfort for the users.
For smooth signal transmission to the drivers, SeeAudio has equipped the Kaguya2 with a high-purity OCC copper silver-plated cable. This cable has universal 0.78mm connectors and a balanced 4.4mm termination plug. Kaguya 2 sounds like a huge upgrade over the OG Kaguya. With a completely new driver setup, innovative new six-way crossover, precise engineering, and exquisite looks, SeeAudio Kaguya2 sounds like a pure flagship pair of in-ear monitors.
