Tanchjim Fission DMT5 Dynamic Driver IEMs
Tanchjim has a long and growing history in the audiophile world. The brand is widely acclaimed for its brilliantly built, great-sounding Hi-Fi audio products that include in-ear monitors(IEMs), DAC/AMPs, etc. Tanchjim has released a brand new product with a beautiful build, latest DMT5 Technology dynamic driver, 12 unique sounding tuning profiles, and unlimited possibilities with application integration as well, introducing the Tanchjim Fission. The pair has solid build quality with CNC-machined aluminium alloy material cavities. Tanchjim has featured its self-developed DMT5 architecture dynamic driver unit with a composite diaphragm that ensures clean sound reproduction with ultra-low distortion. And the best part is, Tanchjim Fission features swappable tuning nozzles(with three sets included in the package), a four-way tuning mechanism, both of which enable 12 unique tuning profiles on the set. Additionally, users can connect the Fission to the Tanchjim application that helps them fine-tune the output with a built-in 5-band PEQ function. Tanchjim Fission is a highly versatile set that promises solid sound with comfortable ergonomics and a premium build.
Tanchjim has always trusted their own developed DMT (Dynamic Magnetic Technology) drivers for their IEMs. Be it the flagship Oxygen, Origin, or the latest launch, Fission, they all carry DMT series drivers. The latest Fission houses a fifth-generation DMT5 dynamic driver unit that adopts a composite material diaphragm that ensures clean and accurate sound reproduction. It has been optimized to deliver an immaculate three-frequency band with wide extensions at both ends of the frequency range. The driver adopts a dual-magnetic design which offers high magnetic flux, ultra-low distortion, fast transients, and high-sensitivity design. It delivers a natural tonality, bringing your music to life with well-defined instruments and vocals.
Tanchjim is known for its exclusive craftsmanship. Each product in their lineup, especially these premium models, carries an extraordinary build quality and premium aesthetics. The latest Fission is no different, we have CNC-machined aluminium alloy material cavities that offer a lightweight yet robust build quality. The shells are crafted using a high-quality sandblasting technique, which gives the pair a well-textured finish. Tanchjim has also added a teardrop design sapphire glass pattern, just like the 4U and Bunny IEMs, for an enhanced, premium design. The shells have FEA-optimized guided vent structure that releases the air pressure buildup and provides enhanced airflow management. This results in greater bass response and better wearing comfort for the users.
Tanchjim Fission is a highly versatile IEM with 12 unique tuning possibilities. The IEM features a swappable nozzle design. Tanchjim bundles three sets of nozzles in the package, each having a unique material configuration and different internal geometries. Each set offers a different tuning. Brass nozzles have a warm, smooth sound, Titanium nozzles deliver a sharper and detailed sound, and the stainless steel nozzle delivers a neutral, balanced sound profile. Combining these three sets of swappable nozzles with a four-level tuning mechanism on the ear shells of Fission, you get a total of 12 unique sound possibilities on the pair. The four-level mechanism allows the users to choose between Ambient, Pop, Monitor, and Natural sound profiles. Additionally, Tanchjim Fission also has integration with the Tanchjim application when using the included Type-C plug. The pair open the doors to unlimited possibilities with a built-in 5-band PEQ function available on the application. It also allows users to share their custom PEQ with friends.
Tanchjim has designed the pair with proper FEA simulation technology. The pair features a CNC-machined brass rear cavity structure that improves the high-frequency energy transfer. It has groove patterns on the inner wall that effectively reduce internal cavity resonance. At the same time, it also reduces the impedance and enhances the overall sound quality presentation of the Fission. Each component here is carefully thought out and professionally designed to achieve a groundbreaking performance with the Fission. The pair is equipped with high-quality imported capacitors with low deviation, it ensures powerful sound and longer durability of the set. Tanchjim has also equipped the pair with a DWR-coated dual-layered acoustic nozzle filter. It protects the driver and internal components from sweat and dust.
Tanchjim has bundled the Fission with a high-purity stock cable. The pair includes Litz-braided high-quality copper silver-plated cable. The cable also has silver-foil shielding to protect the sound signal from external interferences. The cable is flexible, tangle-resistant, and provides smooth sound signal transmission. Tanchjim Fission has 0.78mm two-pin connectors; the stock cable has a swappable termination plug system with 3.5mm, 4.4mm, and Type-C plugs included in the package. The Type-C plug has a built-in DSP chipset as well.
