As mentioned previously in this blog, Kefine Quatio packs a four-driver hybrid design. The pair houses dual dynamic drivers and dual balanced armature drivers. This includes a 10mm DLC diaphragm dynamic driver for full frequency response, an 8mm PU+LCP diaphragm dynamic driver for a solid bass punch, and dual customized BA drivers for an extended high-frequency band.
These drivers are arranged together in a professionally designed three-way frequency crossover. It is a hybrid crossover featuring both physical acoustic ducts and an electronic crossover board. There are three independent acoustic tubes going directly from the 10mm, the 8mm, and the dual Knowles BA driver setup into the ear nozzle. With this precise crossover design, the pair ensures each driver unit is utilized properly and the expected high-fidelity audio response is delivered meticulously.
One of the key attractions of the Kefine Quatio is its swappable nozzle design. It is not just to replace clogged nozzles; each pair has its own unique nozzle filter density, resulting in a unique sound profile. Kefine bundles three pairs of nozzles in the package: Silver nozzle that delivers balanced sound, Gold nozzle that delivers a transparent sound, and Black nozzle that promises a base, warm sound response. Kefine Quatio earshells have a solid build quality as the shells are crafted using a high-precision five-axis CNC-machining process. They are further enhanced in texture and smoothness by advanced polishing and anodizing processes. Each shell construction consists of minimal quality issues. The shell is crafted with 0.06 mm-thick material, which minimizes the shell size. Quatio shells have a compact form factor, they provide an extremely comfortable wearing experience to their users.
Kefine bundles the Quatio with a solid set of accessories. Along with a full variety of ear tips, we also get a high-purity stock cable with the Quatio. It is a 4-strand silver-plated copper cable with 98 wire cores in each strand, totalling to 392 wire cores in the cable. This cable adopts 0.78mm 2-pin connectors, and it also has a swappable termination plug system with 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced plugs included in the package.
