FiiO FT13 Over-Ear Headphones With PurpleHeart Wooden Ear Cups
FiiO is evolving the audiophile market at a rapid pace. With regular new releases, the brand is at the top of innovation with class-leading in-ear monitors, DAC/amps, hi-res audio players, headphones, and more. FiiO has officially launched a brand new pair of over-ear headphones, introducing the FiiO FT13. It’s a closed-back headphone that sets a new benchmark in the market for craftsmanship and acoustic engineering. FiiO FT13 brings us a large-sized 60mm dynamic driver with a W-shaped wool fibre nano wood composite material diaphragm. It features naturally ageing purpleheart wood material ear cups, which not only bring a beautiful look but also have unique sonic characteristics. Using an advanced acoustic chamber design by FiiO, the FT13 unleashes an extraordinary sound performance which complements different genres of music. The pair has a high-sensitivity design with a low-impedance driver; it works well with most sources, and you do not require a powerhouse to enjoy the FiiO FT13 to its fullest.
FiiO has equipped the FT13 with a custom-developed 60mm dynamic driver featuring a W-shaped wool composite nano wood fibre diaphragm. It is reinforced with European birch wood and wool, adding a unique flavour and character to the sound. The diaphragm has unique dense grain patterns which minimizes unwanted resonance and result in clean, high-resolution sound reproduction. To get the best out of this large-sized dynamic driver, FiiO has designed an optimized closed-back acoustic technology. It includes a specialized standing wave dissipation chamber, sound-absorbing rear cavity with cotton padding, and a noise-damping U-shaped tube structure. All this setup provides up to 26dB passive noise isolation and immerses the listeners completely into their favourite music.
FiiO uses high-quality purpleheart wooden ear cups for the FT13. The ear cups are precision-milled, naturally aged for about 90 days to get a rich, to get neat, dense grain look. They are oxidation-treated for enhanced durability. With age, the ear cups will tend to get darker and get an even beautiful, deeper purplish-brown or chestnut-brown colour. The headphones have a spectacular build quality. Along with purpleheart wooden ear cups, the headphones feature a magnesium alloy material headband, with soft leather padding, and comfortable sheepskin/suede material ear pads. With three-axis rotational ear cups, FT13 ensures a comfortable wearing experience for most users.
FiiO has designed the FT13 for easy pairing with different sources. The headphones have a high-sensitivity, low-impedance design. They work well with most sources and don’t require additional amplifiers to sound their best. FiiO FT13 comes with a high-purity Furukawa single-crystal copper and silver-plated OFC material hybrid cable. It has four plug options, 3.5mm and 4.4mm swappable plugs, and 6.35mm and 4-pin XLR adapters. The FT13 is ready to connect to different sources or amplifiers straight out of the box. FiiO FT13 showcases the brand’s outstanding craftsmanship along with a solid sound presentation. Grab yours today, it is available with us priced at just $299.99
