SmallRig RF 05B Portable Zoom LED Video Light, Built for Creators
Meet the newest portable light designed for creators who refuse to stay in one place. The SmallRig RF 05B Portable Zoom LED Video Light is not just another compact flashlight-style accessory — it is a cinema-inspired lighting tool built for filmmakers, photographers, and content creators who need professional control, true color accuracy, and creative flexibility wherever their work takes them. From studio interviews to outdoor documentaries, from product shoots to cinematic storytelling on the move, the RF 05B delivers the kind of lighting precision that instantly elevates your footage.
A Portable Light That Feels Like a Real Cinema Tool
Lighting is what separates casual video from professional content, and SmallRig understands that creators need more than brightness. The RF 05B is engineered to provide cinema-grade color performance in a body small enough to travel anywhere. With outstanding CRI 96+ and TLCI 97+ ratings, it produces natural, true-to-life tones that keep skin looking accurate, products looking realistic, and scenes feeling authentic — without the unpleasant color shifts common in cheaper portable lights. This is the kind of accuracy that matters when you want your footage to look polished straight out of the camera, whether you are shooting interviews, YouTube content, branded commercials, or cinematic short films.
Ultra-Wide 1900K–8000K Color Temperature for Any Scene
Every shooting environment has its own mood, and matching ambient light is essential for professional results. The RF 05B offers an ultra-wide 1900K to 8000K CCT range, allowing you to move effortlessly between warm candle-like tones, balanced daylight, or cool cinematic atmospheres. This wide adjustment range makes the light incredibly versatile — perfect for indoor studios, evening street scenes, sunrise landscapes, or mixed lighting environments where other portable lights simply cannot adapt.
Motorized Zoom: From Soft Fill to Dramatic Spotlight
One of the RF 05B’s standout features is its motorized zoom system, offering a precise 17° to 65° beam angle adjustment. This means you can go from a tight, dramatic spotlight for moody cinematic shots to a wider, softer beam for interviews, portraits, or general fill lighting — all without changing equipment. It gives creators the kind of control normally reserved for much larger studio lights, but in a compact form built for travel and fast setups.
A Complete Creative Light-Shaping Kit in One Package
The SmallRig RF 05B is more than just a light — it is a full creative lighting kit. Included in the box are professional modifiers that allow you to sculpt, shape, and transform your lighting instantly. You get a diffuser for soft flattering illumination, barn doors for controlled spill, a snoot and spotlight attachment for focused beams, plus 10 gobos and 3 RGB gels for creative projection and mood-building effects. This opens up endless possibilities: cinematic patterns, dramatic shadows, colorful accents, or stylized storytelling looks — all achievable with one portable tool.
Built for Real Shoots: IP65 All-Weather Reliability
Creators do not always shoot in perfect conditions, and the RF 05B is designed for the real world. With an IP65 rating, it is fully dust-tight and protected against water jets, making it dependable in rain, snow, dusty outdoor locations, or unpredictable documentary environments. This is the kind of durability that traveling filmmakers and adventure creators demand — a light you can trust when the shoot cannot wait.
Long Runtime and Smart OLED Monitoring
Portability only matters if the light lasts, and SmallRig delivers strong endurance with up to 125 minutes of runtime at 5W mode, plus an 8W boost mode for extra output when you need maximum power. The integrated OLED display provides real-time monitoring of brightness, color temperature, battery level, and settings, giving you full confidence and control during production. No guessing, no interruptions — just smooth, professional workflow.
The Ultimate Ready-to-Shoot Portable Lighting Solution
SmallRig packages the RF 05B as a complete creator-ready kit, including essential modifiers, a protective carry bag, and USB-C charging cable. It is a lighting solution built for filmmakers and photographers who want studio-quality results without carrying studio-sized gear. If you shoot anywhere, travel often, or want to bring cinematic lighting into your daily content creation, the SmallRig RF 05B is the newest portable light that belongs in your kit.
