Gustard R26II: The Next-Gen True 1-Bit R2R DAC
Gustard R26II features a fully-discrete 26-Bit R2R ladder architecture as its core. This advanced R2R design enables next-level sound performance with exceptional note definition and enhanced resolution across the band. With its advanced design, the R26II achieves a staggering dynamic range exceeding 130dB, promising a pitch-dark background and a rich, organic texture that R2R enthusiasts crave. Gustard has equipped the R26II with an upgraded network bridge developed in collaboration with CelAudio. It is powered by a custom-optimized Linux Kernel that prioritizes streaming environment and supports ROON Bridge, AirPlay, UPnP, Spotify, and NAA. It supports a high-speed RJ45 Ethernet LAN port for stable, high-fidelity network playback. Gustard R26II maintains an uncompromising analog stage. It utilizes a fully-discrete Class A buffer and low-pass filter with zero OP-AMP design in the signal path. This ensures that the rich and organic character of the R2R ladder DAC remains intact. Additionally, to maintain proper signal synchronization, the Gustard R26II is equipped with a GCLK-02 precision clock architecture that uses femtosecond-level crystal oscillators. For enthusiasts, a 10MHz BNC input allows an external clock to be synced with the R26II.
