Kefine Arnar 14.5mm Planar Magnetic Driver
At the heart of the Kefine Arnar lies a sophisticated dual-driver hybrid configuration. While many manufacturers struggle to balance different driver types, Kefine has opted for a “best-of-both-worlds” approach. The large 14.5mm planar magnetic driver is here for a full-frequency band response. To complement its enhanced clarity and fast transients, Kefine has featured a high-performance Knowles BA drier specifically tuned to handle the upper midrange and high frequencies. This combination results in a lively sound profile characterized by punchy bass, crisp clarity, and a natural tonality that caters to both casual listeners and seasoned audiophiles. Kefine Arnar delivers a soulful, musical sound tone that complements different genres of music.
Kefine is widely known for its exquisite craftsmanship. They offer high-quality metallic ear shells; the Arnar is no different here. The Arnar features CNC-machined ear shells crafted from aviation-grade aluminium alloy. This high-density housing is essential for internal resonance control, ensuring that the drivers perform without interference from shell vibrations. The standout feature, however, is the “Wish Window” faceplate. Inspired by traditional Chinese culture, the intricate metal grille symbolizes prosperity and fulfilment. Beyond its symbolic meaning, the open-work design gives the Arnar a premium, boutique look that stands out in a market often saturated with generic resin shells.
Understanding that sound preference is subjective, the Kefine Arnar includes three pairs of interchangeable stainless steel nozzles, with each nozzle having a unique sound profile. This modular system allows users to experience three sound profiles with the Arnar. The Gold nozzles deliver a transparent and airy sound, perfect for treble heads; the Silver nozzle provides a natural, reference-level sound tuning, and the Black nozzle packs a warm, lush sound signature, good for those who love a fun, bassy sound signature.
To ensure the signal remains as pure as possible, the Arnar comes bundled with a high-purity silver-plated Oxygen-Free Copper (OFC) braided cable. Using 0.78mm 2-pin connectors, the cable is designed for durability and low internal resistance. Kefine Arnar’s stock cable has a swappable termination plug system. The package comes with both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced termination plugs, which allows users to switch between standard laptop/smartphone’s 3.5mm output to high-power balanced DACs or DAPs.
The Kefine Arnar is the next-generation IEM for Kefine’s lineup. Its advanced hybrid driver setup, versatile tuning nozzles, and modular plugs, combined with its exquisite design, make the perfect step forward for Kefine.
