CHUWI AuBox X Packs On-Device AI Power Into a Palm-Sized Mini PC
“AuBox X marks our step into the next generation of AI PCs,” said Jesea Yang, CEO at CHUWI. “By combining Intel Lunar Lake processors with powerful on-device AI acceleration, we’re delivering a mini PC that brings AI capabilities and desktop-class connectivity into an incredibly compact and quiet form factor.”
Up to 115 TOPS Total AI Performance
Harnessing a combined CPU, GPU, and NPU architecture, the AuBox X unlocks up to 115 TOPS of total AI performance (97 TOPS for Ultra 5). This ensures lightning-fast, entirely private on-device processing for seamless photo enhancement, real-time background removal, and intelligent AI-accelerated workflows.
Dedicated NPU for Accelerated AI Computing
The ultra-compact AI mini PC features the Intel® AI Boost NPU, delivering up to 47 NPU TOPS (Core Ultra 7) / 40 NPU TOPS (Core Ultra 5), ensuring efficient local AI computing without relying on cloud resources. Users can access Copilot+ PC features such as Click to Do, Live Captions, Cocreator, and Improved Windows Search on the AuBox X Intel Lunar Lake AI mini PC.
Run OpenClaw Effortlessly
The AuBox X supports OpenClaw, an open-source on-device AI assistant for automation and workflow optimization, with both native Windows and WSL deployment options. With local AI acceleration and zero-latency inference, user data stays private and secure. Plus, its ultra-low power design enables 24/7 operation at a fraction of the energy consumed by competing products.
Intel Lunar Lake Processor Options
The AuBox X is available in two configurations featuring Intel Core Ultra 5 226V or Intel Core Ultra 7 256V processors, both built on Intel’s advanced Lunar Lake architecture. With 8 cores and 8 threads, boost speeds up to 4.8GHz, and a configurable 8–37W TDP, the mini PC delivers responsive performance for productivity, creative workloads, and everyday computing while maintaining extremely low noise levels.
Intel Arc Graphics
The AuBox X packs integrated Intel® Arc™ GPUs for impressive graphics performance. The Ultra 7 model features Intel Arc 140V, close to discrete GPUs like the GeForce RTX 3050, while the Ultra 5 model’s Intel Arc 130V is up to 2× faster than Iris® Xe. Enjoy smooth multimedia, faster rendering, and strong performance for photo editing, light video work, and modern visual applications.
Future-Proof Connectivity
Despite its compact 0.67-liter chassis, the AuBox X includes USB4 (40Gbps) with support for external GPUs, HDMI 2.1 FRL, HDMI 2.1 TMDS, DisplayPort 1.4, six USB-A ports including USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps), 2.5Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3. The system also supports 100W USB-C Power Delivery and can power up to three displays simultaneously, including 8K@60Hz output.
8533 MT/s, Dual M.2 with PCIe 5.0 Support
To ensure fast responsiveness and AI efficiency, the AuBox X integrates 16GB LPDDR5X 8533 MT/s memory on package, reducing latency and improving overall system performance. Storage is expandable via dual M.2 2280 SSD slots, with one supporting configurations up to PCIe 5.0 ×4 for high-speed storage expansion.
Compact AI Powerhouse
Engineered for creative professionals, modern workspaces, and home offices, the AuBox X combines ultra‑compact size, whisper‑quiet operation (typical noise <45dB), and powerful AI capabilities. It is pre-installed with Windows 11 Pro and includes a VESA mount, enabling flexible deployment in studios, multi‑display setups, and any environment where high performance meets a minimal footprint.
Which One to Choose? – AuBox X Ultra 5 vs Ultra 7
– CHUWI AuBox X (Ultra 5 226V). With 97 total TOPS, Intel Arc 130V graphics, and a 512GB PCIe 3.0 SSD, this version is ideal for everyday productivity, office multitasking, 4K media playback, and light photo editing. It’s a cost‑effective entry point into the Copilot+ AI PC ecosystem without sacrificing connectivity or expansion.
– CHUWI AuBox X (Ultra 7 256V). Stepping up to 115 total TOPS, the faster Arc 140V GPU, and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, the Ultra 7 model handles more demanding creative workflows—such as video rendering, AI‑assisted photo editing, and light 3D modeling—with ease. The extra NPU performance (47 NPU TOPS) also future‑proofs on‑device AI tasks.
In short: Choose the Ultra 5 for a balanced, budget‑friendly home office or media center build. Opt for the Ultra 7 if you regularly work with creative applications, need faster storage out‑of‑the‑box, or want the highest AI performance available in this ultra‑compact form factor.
