HIDIZS AP30 MUSIC BOY Is Now Live @ Kickstarter
HIDIZS has officially launched the AP30 MUSIC BOY on Kickstarter, giving portable-audio enthusiasts the opportunity to secure the new wearable Hi-Res music player at a significantly reduced introductory price. The campaign is now live with a limited number of Super Early Bird rewards, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Selected Kickstarter configurations and add-ons offer savings of up to 58%, making the launch period the best opportunity to reserve the AP30 MUSIC BOY and build a complete portable listening setup.
Inspired by the unmistakable appearance of classic handheld gaming systems, the AP30 combines a playful retro design with serious audio hardware. Its compact body, tactile controls, pixel-style interface and integrated block game give it plenty of nostalgic character, but this is not merely a novelty gadget. Underneath the colourful exterior is a capable dedicated music player designed for listeners who want high-quality sound without depending entirely on a smartphone.
The AP30 supports DSD256, PCM audio up to 24-bit/192kHz, and popular lossless formats including FLAC, WAV and DSDIFF. HIDIZS has also equipped it with a Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC, allowing the compact player to deliver music through both conventional 3.5mm headphones and compatible balanced equipment.
It can also operate as a USB DAC. Connected through USB-C, the AP30 can improve audio playback from a smartphone, tablet or computer while using its own audio circuitry and headphone outputs. Bluetooth 5.3 provides another convenient listening option for wireless headphones, speakers and in-car audio systems.
Despite its pocket-sized construction, the AP30 measures only 68 × 53 × 17mm and weighs approximately 56g. Its wearable concept is complemented by a magnetic phone attachment system, enabling users to snap the player onto a compatible smartphone or magnetic accessory. The distinctive whale-inspired backplate further reinforces the device’s playful identity and HIDIZS’ ocean-themed collaboration with WDC.
Local music storage is handled through a microSD card slot supporting capacities of up to 256GB, enough for thousands of lossless tracks without requiring a permanent internet connection or streaming subscription. The built-in 1,200mAh battery charges in around one hour and is rated for approximately 10 to 12 hours of playback through the standard output or eight to ten hours through the balanced connection, depending on usage conditions.
HIDIZS runs the player on its dedicated HidizsOS platform, offering straightforward music navigation alongside adjustable equalizer presets, digital filters and additional sound controls. This focused interface helps preserve the distraction-free character of a traditional digital audio player while retaining enough customization for more demanding listeners.
Kickstarter backers can choose from different AP30 editions and combine the player with campaign add-ons in a single pledge. With limited Super Early Bird quantities and discounts reaching up to 58% on selected options, interested buyers should review the available reward tiers before the introductory allocations are claimed.
