Shanling – Notice of expected price increase
With the rising costs of materials and components, you will see three likely changes to Shanling production:
– Increased MSRP of new releases – Starting from August, new models will be priced according to the increased materials costs. Expect bigger jumps in MSRP compared to previous generations of the same product category and overall all new devices becoming more expensive.
– Increased MSRP of current products – As next production runs for our best-selling models will be coming in August and September, it’s expected to see a rise in MSRP across a wide range of models.
– Discontinuation of certain models – Some models might simply not be suitable for price increase and will therefore be discontinued.
We will try to communicate any such changes ahead of time.
Will the price ever go down?
Honestly, we do not know. You can read a lot of articles that go into the business of memory and component manufacturers, how they are reacting to this shift in demand and if their focus is on actually increasing availability or just pushing up prices. We don’t want to discuss it much, but let’s say we are not very optimistic.
