See What SmallRig Is Bringing to IFA 2026
SmallRig Takes Its Creator Ecosystem to Berlin
SmallRig has grown far beyond the camera cages and mounting accessories that initially made the company familiar to photographers and videographers. Its current ecosystem stretches across camera rigs, tripods and monopods, V-mount power solutions, mobile filmmaking equipment, LED and COB lighting, stabilizer accessories, matte boxes, filters, follow-focus systems and professional audio products. IFA 2026 provides an ideal opportunity to bring those different parts of the ecosystem together. Rather than simply displaying products behind glass, SmallRig is putting considerable emphasis on allowing visitors to actually experience its equipment. The company says attendees will be able to test its latest cages, lighting products, tripods and audio equipment, while SmallRig product specialists will be available to demonstrate different configurations and answer technical questions. That hands-on approach is particularly valuable with creator equipment. Specifications tell only part of the story when choosing a cage, tripod, handle, microphone or lighting system. Ergonomics, build quality, mounting flexibility, weight distribution and the speed with which a rig can be configured often become much easier to appreciate when the hardware is actually in your hands.
A Major New Product Is Coming
Perhaps the biggest reason to watch SmallRig at IFA 2026 is that the company is teasing the global debut of new flagship gear. SmallRig has not yet revealed all the details, which naturally adds some intrigue ahead of the Berlin show. The company describes the upcoming announcement as the unveiling of a significant new product and is inviting visitors to its booth to be among the first to see the hardware officially launched. Considering just how broad the SmallRig portfolio has become, there is plenty of room for speculation, but until the official unveiling it makes sense to leave the surprise exactly where SmallRig wants it: in Berlin. What we do know is that the company’s booth is being positioned as much more than a conventional product showcase.
Camera Rigs, Lighting, Tripods, Audio and More
Visitors should also get an opportunity to explore SmallRig’s wider creator ecosystem. The company’s current portfolio covers an impressive range of production requirements. Camera cages remain one of its core categories, accompanied by top and side handles, NATO components, quick-release adapters, shoulder rigs, rods, clamps and mounting systems. SmallRig has simultaneously developed extensive tripod and support ranges, while its lighting portfolio now encompasses pocket LED lights, COB fixtures, softboxes and stands. Power solutions include V-mount batteries, camera batteries, battery plates and dummy batteries, while the audio lineup includes wireless and on-camera microphones and related mounting equipment. Mobile filmmakers haven’t been forgotten either. Phone cages, mobile video rig kits, filters, handles and holders are now part of the same increasingly interconnected ecosystem. This diversity should make the IFA booth relevant to everyone from smartphone creators and vloggers to independent filmmakers and photographers building considerably more elaborate production rigs.
Try the Gear and Meet the SmallRig Team
The ability to experiment with different setups could ultimately be one of the highlights of SmallRig’s IFA presence. A trade show environment allows creators to compare products and discover combinations they might never have considered when browsing equipment online. A cage can be combined with handles and accessories, a support system can be tested with a realistic camera configuration, and lighting or audio equipment can be evaluated in something closer to an actual production workflow. SmallRig says its specialists will be at the booth to demonstrate the equipment and answer questions, turning the stand into an opportunity to discuss real-world production requirements directly with the people behind the ecosystem. The company will also hold KOL sessions at Messe Berlin, adding another creator-oriented component to its IFA activities.
TRY. POST. WIN.
SmallRig is also making its IFA appearance interactive through its “TRY. POST. WIN.” campaign. Visitors can try the new equipment at the booth, capture their experience, post it to an Instagram Story using the #SmallRigIFA tag and then claim a reward from the SmallRig booth. There is an additional incentive for established creators. SmallRig says creators with more than 10,000 social-media followers can produce a 30-second Reel on-site and receive a free piece of gear, subject to the campaign conditions and availability. The promotion is limited to one item per person and requires a public post. On-site lucky draws will provide visitors with additional opportunities to win SmallRig accessories during the event. It is a clever way of transforming the traditional exhibition booth into something much more participatory while encouraging creators to experiment with the hardware rather than simply looking at it.
Built Around the Modern Creator
What makes SmallRig’s presence at IFA 2026 particularly interesting is how accurately it reflects the way content production has changed. Modern creators rarely operate within one narrowly defined category. The same person might shoot professional footage with a mirrorless camera, record vertical videos with a smartphone, use an action camera while travelling, add wireless microphones for interviews and rely on portable lighting for indoor productions. Equipment therefore has to become increasingly modular. SmallRig has built much of its ecosystem around precisely this concept: providing individual components that can be assembled into workflows appropriate for different cameras, shooting environments and production styles. At IFA, visitors will have an opportunity to see that philosophy brought together physically rather than browsing each category independently online.
SmallRig’s Growing Global Presence
IFA is also another important step in SmallRig’s increasingly visible presence at major international creator and technology events. The company describes its wider mission as empowering creators around the world with greater freedom in image creation, while its product development has increasingly expanded from individual rigging components toward complete shooting solutions. SmallRig’s own images from previous global exhibitions show busy demonstrations, creator presentations and extensive hands-on sessions, giving us a good indication of the type of community-oriented atmosphere the company wants to recreate in Berlin. IFA 2026 should provide an even larger platform for that strategy.
See SmallRig at IFA 2026
For photographers, videographers, filmmakers and technology enthusiasts attending IFA this September, SmallRig’s booth promises a combination of new hardware, practical demonstrations and direct interaction with the people behind the products. The most intriguing element remains the upcoming flagship product reveal, but the opportunity to explore SmallRig’s broader ecosystem of camera support, lighting, power, audio and mobile filmmaking equipment should make the stand interesting even before that announcement takes place. SmallRig will be at Messe Berlin from September 4–8, 2026, in Hall 20, Booth H20-107. With new products waiting to be unveiled, extensive hands-on opportunities, KOL sessions, giveaways and the TRY. POST. WIN. campaign, SmallRig looks ready to make a significant impression at IFA 2026.
