Antigravity + IFA 2026 = True Story

The countdown to IFA Berlin 2026 is on, and Antigravity is preparing to bring its distinctive vision of immersive aerial exploration back to Berlin. From September 4–8, 2026, visitors to Messe Berlin will be able to find the company at Hall 20, Booth H20-120, where the spotlight will be firmly placed on the Antigravity A1 and the expanding ecosystem around it. This is more than a conventional drone showcase. Antigravity is inviting IFA visitors to actually experience what happens when 360-degree imaging, immersive goggles and motion-based flight controls come together.

Antigravity Returns to IFA
Under the simple message “Come and Fly With Us at IFA 2026,” Antigravity will use this year’s show to demonstrate the Antigravity A1, which the company describes as the world’s first all-in-one 8K 360 drone. The claim refers specifically to A1 being the first announced drone built around integrated 8K 360-degree capture rather than requiring an externally attached 360 camera. Antigravity itself was incubated by Insta360 together with third parties, with the objective of making drone flight more immersive, accessible and enjoyable. That philosophy becomes immediately apparent when looking at A1. Instead of treating the camera simply as something pointing forward from an aircraft, the entire system has been designed around capturing the environment surrounding the drone.

Antigravity A1: Capture Everything, Choose the Shot Later
At the heart of the A1 is a dual-lens 360-degree camera system, with lenses positioned above and below the aircraft. Together they capture the complete environment around the drone, while image stitching technology powered by Insta360 removes the aircraft itself from the resulting 360 footage. The A1 can record 8K 360 video at up to 30fps, while 5.2K recording reaches 60fps and 4K offers additional high-frame-rate options. Its camera uses a 1/1.28-inch sensor and can also capture 55MP 360 photographs. But perhaps the more interesting advantage is what happens after the flight. Because the entire scene has already been captured, creators don’t necessarily have to decide on their final camera direction while piloting. Instead, footage can be reframed afterward into conventional perspectives, including forward, backward, overhead or side views. A single flight can therefore produce several completely different shots. It also makes the A1 particularly interesting for creators publishing across multiple platforms. The same 360 master footage can be reframed for a traditional 16:9 YouTube video or turned into a 9:16 vertical clip for Shorts, Reels and TikTok.

Flying Becomes Part of the Experience
Antigravity is also trying to change the way a drone is controlled. The complete system combines the A1 drone, Antigravity Vision goggles and Grip motion controller. Through the company’s FreeMotion technology and head tracking, the direction in which the pilot is looking can be separated from the direction in which the aircraft is travelling. In practical terms, you can look around the environment while continuing to fly along a different trajectory. The Grip controller takes another approach to accessibility, using motion-based control rather than relying exclusively on the conventional dual-stick experience. The concept is to make aerial exploration intuitive even for users without extensive drone or FPV experience. That combination could make the IFA demonstration particularly interesting because this isn’t technology that is fully communicated by reading a specification sheet. Putting on the goggles and actually flying A1 is the point.

Compact Hardware With Serious Capabilities
Despite its unusual imaging system, the standard A1 configuration weighs just 249 grams. It folds down to approximately 141.3 × 96.2 × 81.4 mm, making it a genuinely compact travel drone. With the standard Flight Battery, Antigravity specifies up to 24 minutes of flight time. A High-Capacity Flight Battery increases the claimed maximum to 39 minutes, although it also raises takeoff weight to 291 grams and therefore changes its EU classification and potentially the applicable regulatory requirements. Other notable hardware capabilities include forward and downward vision sensing, GPS/Galileo/BeiDou positioning, automatic landing gear, return-to-home functionality, 20GB of internal storage and microSD expansion up to 1TB. Antigravity also integrates payload detection designed to identify excessive additional weight. The result is an unusual combination: part conventional camera drone, part FPV-style immersive experience and part 360-degree content creation platform.

More Than a Product Display at IFA 2026
Antigravity appears to be making its H20-120 booth an experiential space rather than simply putting hardware behind glass. According to the company’s IFA invitation, attendees will have an opportunity to test-fly the A1 and experience 360 flight for themselves. There will also be interactive activities at the booth, with visitors getting a chance to win an A1 and exclusive Antigravity merchandise. The company is additionally teasing another attraction under the message “Meet Our New Friend – Ready for an adventure without boundaries?” That last part is deliberately mysterious, suggesting that there could be more to discover at IFA than the already established A1 ecosystem.

A Different Direction for Consumer Drones
What makes Antigravity interesting isn’t simply another increase in camera resolution or another incremental flight specification. The more significant idea is decoupling capture from composition. Traditional drone videography requires the pilot to simultaneously think about aircraft movement, camera orientation and composition. With 360 capture, the A1 can record the complete visual environment first and allow the creator to decide precisely what the viewer sees afterward. That has obvious implications for travel filmmaking, action sports, automotive videos, outdoor adventures and social-media production. It can also reduce the frustration of completing an otherwise excellent flight only to discover that the camera was pointing slightly away from the decisive moment. Combined with immersive head tracking and motion control, Antigravity is consequently attempting to redefine both halves of the drone experience: how we fly and how we film.

Visitors will be able to experience the Antigravity A1’s 360 flight concept, explore the company’s latest products and see what else Antigravity has prepared for Berlin. With 8K 360 capture, an invisible-drone effect, immersive Vision goggles, FreeMotion flight and post-flight reframing, the A1 already approaches aerial imaging from a noticeably different direction. At IFA 2026, Antigravity is giving visitors the best way to understand that difference: don’t just look at the drone — fly it.
