ANBERNIC RG DDS Pre-Order Launch
ANBERNIC is bringing a fresh reason to flip open your next gaming handheld, with the RG DDS pre-order promotion offering a $15 discount and a starting price of $284.99, down from $299.99. Combining two IPS displays, Qualcomm Snapdragon hardware, and an Android gaming ecosystem, the RG DDS brings an appealing mix of familiar clamshell design and modern flexibility to the company’s portable lineup. The dual-screen layout is the main attraction, pairing a 4.7-inch upper display with a 4-inch lower display, both advertised at 300 PPI for consistent visual sharpness. It is a format that gives the RG DDS a distinctive identity, especially for players who appreciate having two separate viewing areas within one compact device. Three finishes – Glacier White, Basalt Black, and Phantom Blue—provide a choice between understated styling and a more colorful look.
Power comes from the 4nm Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 processor, while support for switching between native and Turnip graphics drivers adds an interesting degree of flexibility for enthusiasts. Driver choice can be useful when exploring compatibility and performance in supported software, although results will depend on the game, application, and settings. For me, that combination of dual-screen hardware and configurable software is what makes this launch worth watching.
ANBERNIC AI adds another dimension to the package, with the manufacturer listing game-guide retrieval, real-time translation, and intelligent dialogue among its features. Alongside Android 16 and a choice of 8GB RAM with 128GB storage or 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, these additions position the RG DDS as a handheld with room for both gaming and experimentation.
The launch offer is straightforward: buyers can save $15 on the advertised starting price during the pre-order promotion. According to ANBERNIC’s promotional announcement, pricing will return to the original level once stock arrives, making this an early-order incentive for anyone already interested in the device. The official listing currently states that shipping will begin gradually from December 10, 2026, so this is a purchase to plan ahead for rather than an immediate-dispatch offer.
What appeals to me most is the overall concept: a folding handheld that combines two dedicated screens with the flexibility of Android and a choice of graphics drivers. Its real-world performance will ultimately determine its appeal, but the RG DDS already presents an interesting proposition for players looking to explore a different portable gaming format.
Explore the ANBERNIC RG DDS pre-order offer on the official store, starting at $284.99. Check your preferred configuration before ordering, as the listing also displays a sold-out label and availability may vary by option.
