Upgraded Rockchip RK3328 UHD TV BOX Solution
During the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition), Rockchip showed its new upgraded RK3328 UHD TV BOX solution. Compared with previous generations and similar products in the market, it takes the lead in supporting USB3.0 interface and enhances the speed by almost three times.
RK3328 UHD TV BOX solution features Quad-core 64-bit Cortex-A53 architecture, up to 1.5GHz, Mali-450 GPU. It supports Android 7.1 and Linux OS, 4K 60fps video decoding, HDR10/HLG and HDR2SDR, and meets the latest Ultra HD premium (UHD) standard.
RK3328 UHD TV BOX solution is technologically innovative and possesses three major technical advantages:
– Higher transmission rate: supporting Giga ethernet and USB3.0 interfaces
– Outstanding UHD video quality: supporting the latest 4K standard (UHD Premium standard)
– More suitable for the market: supporting DRM widevine level 1 certification standard recognized by Google.
Upgraded RK3328 positioned to medium and high-end solution supports USB3.0 and Giga ethernet, and technically solves the problem of real-time transmission of UHD videos.
At present, most TV box solutions in the market basically apply USB2.0 interface. Against the backdrop of Internet and IoT with the huge improvements of industrial applications and consumption market, 4K 60Hz UHD videos will become the mainstream demand while USB2.0 is even powerless for the 1080P 30Hz data collection and cannot meet the ever-changing market needs. However, Rockchip RK3328 solution, that supports USB3.0 and Giga ethernet with significant enhancement of speed, provides the hardware guarantee for the real-time transmission of UHD 4K videos.
Higher transmission rate will also create more possibilities for the forms of OTT BOX. For example, in terms of interconnection of voice, image, streaming media and multiple-terminal, terminal devices based on RK3328 solution will realize irreplaceable technical and platform advantages.
In addition, supporting DRM widevine level 1 certification standard recognized by Google, RK3328 solution is of more extensive compatibility and market influence.
During CES held in January 2017, Rockchip officially launched RK3328 TV box solution . In the past year, its sales volume has stably increased. This time, in Hong Kong Electronics Fair, Rockchip RK3328 will show its new innovative technical advantages, and further enhance its market competitiveness.
