Details about Ulefone Paris 4th firmware update
Ulefone released the fourth software updates OTA for their 5-inch device Ulefone Paris yesterday, applying new app icons which make the phone’s stock android UI look somewhat different.
The software numbered 20151130 comes just 2 weeks after the previous 20151116 version. In principal, Ulefone has chosen minimalist icons to replace the old ones that are more figurative. More than 70% of the pre-installed apps have a new look, while the others like Play Store, Email and Settings has kept unchanged to avoid confusing existing users. Ulefone also deleted the U-browser via the update, which has caused automatic launch of newly installed apps.
Another heartening news for Ulefone Paris users is that the company has promised to upgrade the software at least once a month until the phone is able to fully satisfy average users. No doubt, Ulefone’s improvement of user experiences will give more people the confidence to buy the Paris, which is sold with a special price of USD119.99 in present promotion.
The new icons will firstly applied to Ulefone Paris in a few days via OTA updates and it is expected to land Ulefone Be Touch 1, 2 and 3 before Chirstmas. Ulefone says they are now able to change app icons freely and may customize icons for each model later, an action seldom taken by the company’s competitors.
In addition, Paris is presently provided with the special price of USD119.99 at some online shops with a flip case and a tempered-glass protector as free gifts, a discount scheme worth about USD70 compared with the original price.
