Xiaomi Mi Band 4 will be released at the end of this Spring
Xiaomi Mi Band 4 will be released at the end of this Spring and might add some new health monitor functions.
Last June, the Xiaomi Mi band 3 was officially released along with the Xiaomi 8 series. Compared with the previous product, the Xiaomi Mi band 3 has the main characteristics of increasing the size of the display screen and upgrading the fitness function. It has been 9 months since the Xiaomi Mi band 3 was released, so it’s time for Mi band series to update.
According to FirstPost, David Cui, Yunmi’s chief financial officer, revealed in an interview that the Xiaomi band 4 would definitely be launched in 2019, but not in the near future. Foreign media expect that the release time of Xiaomi band 4 will be released at the turn of spring and summer, so that the time node and the latest products are basically consistent.
As for new functions, Yunmi Chief Financial Officer did not reveal much, but he mentioned health functions. Cui Dawei said that every generation of Xiaomi band will add some new health monitoring functions, and the fourth generation products are no exception. In this way, in addition to heart rate monitoring functions, Xiaomi band 4 will provide us with more health information.
Xiaomi band not only get support at home market, but also perform well in overseas markets. According to IDC data, the global smart wear market grew by 31.4% in the fourth quarter of 2018, with Xiaomi ranking second, accounting for 12.6% of the market. It is conceivable that Xiaomi can achieve such success. Cui Dawei also expressed confidence in the sales prospects of Xiaomi band 4.
The smart wearing equipment market has experienced a “burst-downturn” cycle, and there has been a significant recovery. But this wave of warmth depends not on the outbreak of smart watches, but on entry-level products such as Xiaomi band. Huawei, Honor, Xioami and other manufacturers have introduced smart bands with features of practical function and price-friendly. They are suitable for general watches and health monitoring tools.
Perhaps the real meaning of smart bracelets lies in this. This kind of product is not suitable for carrying too many tasks, but now it has succeeded in returning to simplicity and practicality.
