XIDU PhilBook Max, The Best Compact Laptop with Touchscreen in 2019
The Chinese manufacturer XIDU released its new laptop PhilBook Max. To be precise, there are Philbook, PhilPad, Tour and Philbook Max in total. They have similar names, but completely different specifications. Today I want to talk about the Philbook Max.
Package
The package includes everything you need for using, and not more:
1. Charger
2. Manual
3. Greeting Card
4. PhilBook Max Laptop
Design
The PhilBook Max adopts contracted design style, including space gray metal body with golden frame, large screen proportion with 4.9mm ultra-narrow border, and multi-touch which has greatly attracted me.
With the multi-touch display, you can turn the PhilBook Max from a PC into a versatile tablet. In addition, it is effortless to touch, zoom, pinch, scroll and swipe the responsive screen to quickly explore and enjoy images, web pages, apps and games.
Display
The main feature of PhilBook Max is an excellent screen. It has a diagonal of 14.1 inches. You can always carry it with you, and even use with one hand. The IPS panel manufactured by JDI has a true 2K resolution. In addition, it adopts the 360° rotating display that three modes are available: laptop, tent mode, and tablet. XIDU takes the lead to realize the 360°rotation while the opening-closing angles for other computers still rested on 120°- 180°. The display provides excellent experience for watching films and working. Brightness is also excellent, and contrast is good. The color reproduction also is OK for the price category. Moreover, you can change color profiles in the settings menu.
Is it comfortable to use?
Philbook Max is a representative 2-in-1 convertible laptop with 14.1 inches. We should say that it is the most popular category because these models are something in between a 10.1-inch tablet and 15.6 – inch laptop. With the contracted design of space gray metal body with golden frame and large screen proportion with 4.9mm ultra-narrow border, it provides excellent using experience, and looks more expensive and premium. Actually you can get it within $400. It’s equally important that it also has 3.5mm stereo phone jack and USB ports, which meet my various needs for work and entertainment. Philbook Max perfectly fits any situations!
Storage and Processor
Philbook Max comes with 6GB RAM 128GB SSD large expandable storage, it is also powered with Intel Apollo Lake J3355 (Dual-Core, 2.0 GHz Up To 2.5 GHz), meaning that you can enjoy a laptop with smooth operation!
Impressions
The build quality of Philbook Max is almost perfect. For only $399.99, Philbook Max is one of the best compact laptops on the market. It combines an excellent touchscreen, good performance and different interfaces.
Price and Buy
Of course, there are other laptops on the market. However, they are much more expensive than Philbook Max and offer the same features (and some may even less). For example, Huawei Matebook D 14-inch laptop starts from $555.20. Now get a Philbook Max at an affordable price with excellent performance equal to or even better than those products at higher prices!
