ABS Uses EZCast Pro II to Speed up Cell Research
As business becomes more and more fast-paced, the need for quick and easy sharing of information, metrics, and analyses has grown exponentially. But with all the new technology at our collective disposal, finding a simple and concise way to share that information can still prove to be difficult.
A need to share information with different teams quickly
This is the problem Rebecca Boyer faced. As Operations Coordinator at Analytical Biological Services, Inc. in Wilmington, Delaware, she needed a quick way to share information with the different teams in their support center using their existing network infrastructure.
It had to be easy to use and understand, and it had to work consistently. The support teams were struggling to get the needed information on various metrics they had to meet. Additionally, they wanted to help boost morale by showing the accomplishments that the teams have been making day-to-day.
This information was available in a cloud-based system, but it was still a bit of extra work to access. They wanted to have it all readily available to view throughout their work area. Most of the systems they had looked at previously were much more involved, either requiring an extra budget to install, extra training to personnel and effort to run. Additionally, the majority of casting solutions that fit their budget didn’t offer a “one-to-many” function.
“We’ve used similar devices in our conference rooms for casting,” said Rebecca, “but they are pretty limited.”
EZCast Pro II and ProCast app can mirror content to multiple displays
When Rebecca and her team came across the EZCast Pro II and read about what they could accomplish using the ProCast feature, they were excited to try it out. By running the ProCast application on a source PC or laptop, content can be mirrored to multiple EZCast Pro II devices at once across a network.
“It was like it was made for us,” said Rebecca, “we were very happy when we found it.”
Rebecca and her team were able to connect multiple displays to EZCast Pro II dongles, configure those dongles to be connected to the same wireless network as the source PC, then run ProCast to show all the latest information and metrics they needed to share across the support center. What’s more, it was very easy and straightforward for her team to deploy the EZCast Pro II solution.
“It ended up being easier to set them up [the EZCast Pro II dongles] than the displays they were connecting to,” Rebecca told us.
As an added benefit, they are also able to connect on-demand to individual displays via AirPlay, Miracast, Chromecast or the EZCast Pro app for quick “stand up” team meetings throughout the support center. The EZCast Pro II solution has made it that much easier for teams to collaborate and share information in a fast-paced environment.
