More Gadgets to Help Improve Your Studying
Recently we‘ve been focusing on this year‘s slightly unusual back to school season, and the fact that so many students will have to study from home. We‘ve already given tips on how to maximize productivity while studying in your bedroom far from campus life, and also on how to get the most out of online video classes. This week, let‘s have a quick look at some of the tech you can keep in your room to help with studying.
A Good Lamp
When it comes to light, there‘s a lot more to it than just brightness. The hardness or softness of the light is incredibly important when you‘re sitting in the same environment all day long. Put simply, hard light creates well-defined shadows, while soft light is diffused and does not. Study after study has shown that hard light is more straining on the eyes and leads to fatigue, both physical and mental.
Most regular light bulbs produce light that‘s pretty hard, so adding a soft light source to your study room is a simple and easy way to give yourself more energy. AUKEY‘s LT-T6 is a simple table lamp that produces extremely soft light, and offers a wide range of customizations.
Another factor you need to consider about light is color. It‘s well-established that cool, blue light is good for waking you up in the morning, and warm, red-tinted light is best for winding down in the evening. When you‘re burning the midnight oil to get a report finished, doing so in intense white light from a standard light bulb is likely to mess up your circadian rhythms and lead to poor quality sleep, making a tiring night even more tiring.
AUKEY‘s smart LT-T7s is great for this. Not only is its light soft and diffused, but you can set it to any color you like via the AUKEY Home app or Alexa. It‘s possible to use a gentle warm tint automatically each evening, and you can adjust the scenario at the touch of a button or with a simple word or two to Alexa. Late night studying is tiring enough, and using the right lighting is more effective for staying alert long-term than coffee, trust us!
Charge Better
For the modern student studying remotely, keeping devices charged is extra important. When it comes to charging phones and tablets, having them connected to cables isn‘t always convenient. This is where a wireless power bank with stand functionality comes in, such as AUKEY‘s Basix Pro series.
Using this style of power bank, you can keep your phone positioned at the optimal angle while it changes. This is the ideal solution for multitasking students, and it works just as well whether you‘re at home, in the coffee shop, or sitting out in the park.
And if you prefer to charge your phone in bursts rather than throughout the day, AUKEY‘s latest Omnia Mini 20W is a great choice for owners of the latest iPhone. It provides all of the 20W that the upcoming iPhone 12 is expected to support, and since Apple seems to have gone off providing chargers in the box alongside its phones, picking up an Omnia Mini 20W is the obvious solution!
