Lenovo Wins Stevie Award in 2020 International Business Awards
The International Stevie Awards® recently named Lenovo the winner of a Silver Stevie® Award in the Most Innovative Tech Company of the Year – More Than 2,500 Employees” category in the 17th annual awards.
The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small – are eligible to submit nominations. The 2020 IBAs received entries from organizations in 63 nations and territories.
Lenovo develops smarter technology to solve problems, create opportunities, and enable the world’s intelligent transformation. Since the days of helping man first walk on the moon, Lenovo’s innovations have moved the technological advancement of our world. In the past year, Lenovo has launched the world’s first foldable laptop, the ThinkPad X1 Fold laptop, and the foldable razr smartphone, Lenovo has cemented itself as a leader of the global tech industry.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold is the industry’s first foldable, single-screen multi-function 5G Always Connected PC. The new, ground-breaking form factor reimagines the idea of what mobile computing is, providing laptop efficiency with smartphone portability. The X1 Fold, unlike other devices on the market, can be used as a laptop, like a book for single or dual screen browsing or as a tablet and features 5G technology, allowing for constant connectivity no matter where someone is.
Motorola was uniquely positioned to recreate the razr—focusing on consumer nostalgia for foldable devices and pairing it with the convenience of touchscreen smartphone technology the world has become accustomed to. What sets this phone apart from others is the zero-gap hinge that allows the razr to close with both sides perfectly flush, a cohesive design that also protects the main display.
More than 3,800 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories.
Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 250 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process from July through early September.
“Despite the unprecedented impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on organizations and working people worldwide, the number and quality of nominations we received in this year’s International Business Awards attests to the continued outstanding performance of many organizations. The commitment we’ve seen through these nominations to maintaining the success, health, and safety of employees, customers, and communities is truly impressive,” said Stevie Awards president Maggie Gallagher.
