The Better 20W Charger for iPhone 12
Now that the iPhone 12 has finally been officially unveiled, a couple of points stand out immediately from a charging point of view – one positive development and one negative development. The positive change is that the maximum charging speed has now been bumped up from 18W to 20W, but the bad news is that none of the new devices come with any charger at all, not even the ultra-basic 5W charger Apple usually ships.

Faster Doesn‘t Mean Bigger
There‘s no question that 20W charging is better than 18W charging, and this is certainly a step in the right direction (albeit still well behind some of the crazy fast charging speeds offered by competitors). Smartphone batteries are gradually increasing in size, and so it makes sense that charging speeds increase to match. However, given that Apple does not provide a 20W charger in the box, the vast majority of iPhone 12 users won‘t be able to enjoy this upgrade, and many won‘t even know it‘s there.
For those who want to get the most out of their iPhone 12, AUKEY has the ultimate solution. AUKEY got wind of Apple‘s plans many months ago, and we were able to produce an iPhone 12 charger just in time for launch. The Omnia Mini 20W is designed especially for the very latest iPhones, offering the full 20W that the iPhone 12 supports. And this is from a charger that is significantly smaller, lighter, and less expensive than Apple‘s own offering.
And it isn‘t just optimized for iPhone 12 in terms of the 20W power output. The high-speed charging has also been fine-tuned to perfectly match iPhone batteries, reducing the risk of battery damage by 80%.
Apple‘s brand-new 20W charger has now appeared in the Apple store and will set you back $19. (Bizarrely, they‘re also selling the ultra-basic 5W charger they‘ve been using since 2007 for the same price). This 20W charger is essentially just a minor upgrade on the previous 18W model and is a bit chunky when compared to similar chargers from AUKEY. The Omnia Mini 20W is significantly smaller, lighter, and cheaper, so if you want to charge your iPhone 12 at top speed, the choice is clear.
The massive size reduction was possible due to the use of AUKEY‘s new OmniStack technology, which reduces the size of the charger by around 50%, and also greatly improves heat dissipation. This means the charger will remain cool even after prolonged charging, improving durability, and saving energy.
The Omnia Mini 20W is also great for iPad Pros and the latest iPad Air, which uses USB-C and supports fast-charging.
So, if you‘re considering picking up the all-new chargerless iPhone 12, make sure to check out the Omnia Mini 20W on Amazon!
