Cayin R01 Latest R-2R Audio Motherboard for N6ii Released
Cayin officially released its much-awaited R-2R DAC Audio Motherboard, the Cayin R01. It is the sixth and the last audio motherboard Cayin has planned for the N6ii Android music player.
The R01 brings innovative 24-Bit R-2R Ladder DAC technology with a balanced headphone amplifier architecture. It supports up to 430mW of power through the balanced 4.4mm connection and up to 240mW output power through the 3.5mm single-ended output mode. R01 supports PCM decoding up to 32-Bit/384kHz and DSD up to DSD256 natively.

Discrete 24-Bit R-2R Ladder Resistor Network DAC
R-2R Ladder is a matched pair of two resistors, where the 2R has twice the value of the R. After āextensive research Cayin has adopted 5.1kohm as R resistor and 10.2kohm as 2R. The R01 audio motherboard consists of 48 pieces of Resistors(23 R+25 2R) for each channel, a total of 96 pieces of resistors for stereo configuration. R-2R DAC’s are only found in exquisitely premium products, they offer natural and realistic sound tonality with high-resolution clarity.
Implementing the R-2R DAC
24-Bit Discrete R-2R Precision DAC converts the digital signal to analog through a high-precision R-2R Resistor ladder network. It provides precise Hi-Res signal decoding with ultra-low distortion and high SNR ratings. R-2R DAC’s decode the audio signal in their true form producing a natural sound with high quality.

Powerful Balanced Headphone Output
Cayin R01 houses two headphone output ports, one single-ended 3.5mm and another balanced 4.4mm port. Even through the single-ended 3.5mm port, the R01 has an output rating of up to 240mW@ 32 ohms.
