In modern hybrid meetings, choosing the right hardware is just as important as selecting the right software. Sometimes, when I need to hold meetings in different offices, I find myself overwhelmed by the variety of conference room setups. With too many devices and complicated connections, even a small mistake can disrupt the meeting flow. I came across the CZUR StarryHub. It claims to solve these issues by integrating essential meeting hardware like microphones and cameras. Let’s see if it lives up to the promise. In this review, I will detail my experiences with the StarryHub, covering everything from the unboxing and setup to its practical performance, while also noting both its advantages and potential areas for improvement.

Unboxing of StarryHub
When I opened the package, my first impression of the CZUR StarryHub was that it looked simple yet sturdy. The black box had a low-profile design, and the thick foam inside ensured that the device remained intact even after long-distance shipping. After unboxing, I saw a neat, cube-shaped projector measuring about 20 cm (7.87 inches) on each side, with a clean and minimalist appearance. The box also included the TouchBoard (a multifunctional remote), the ClickDrop streaming device (with a USB-C to USB-A adapter), and a power adapter, providing a complete set of accessories. The power adapter came with interchangeable plugs, making it suitable for different regions—a practical feature for frequent travelers.
Picking up the StarryHub, I noticed it felt solid. The front featured a large projection lens, while the back had a variety of ports: Ethernet, HDMI, USB-A 2.0 and 3.0, and a power input, offering multiple connection options. One side had the power button, and the other had a grille covering the built-in speaker. The slightly recessed center at the top housed six microphones and three spring contacts to charge the TouchBoard. When not in use, the TouchBoard could securely attach to the top. What caught my attention the most was the rear camera, specifically designed for video conferencing, making video calls or streaming much more convenient.
How to Use the Controller?
Using the CZUR StarryHub projector’s TouchBoard has made my meetings and presentations more convenient. It combines the functions of a remote, keyboard, and touchpad, offering simple and flexible control.
– Pairing the TouchBoard with StarryHub. The pairing process is straightforward. I powered on both the StarryHub and the TouchBoard, pressed and held the Touch/Keyboard button until the LED light started blinking, and then placed the TouchBoard in the charging dock for a few seconds. Once the icons lit up, the pairing was successful.
– Navigating the TouchBoard with Fingers. In touch mode, the gestures are very intuitive. Sliding one finger moves the cursor, a two-finger tap brings up additional options, a three-finger swipe up or down switches between applications, and a pinch gesture allows for zooming.
– Managing Standby, Sleep, and Wake-Up. The TouchBoard automatically enters standby mode after one minute of inactivity, and if left untouched for a longer time, it goes into sleep mode. Waking it up is easy, either by returning it to the charging dock or flipping the power switch. For someone like me who has back-to-back meetings, this power-saving feature is quite useful.
CZUR ClickDrop
The ClickDrop device makes wireless content mirroring incredibly simple. Just plug it into your computer via USB, and you can wirelessly stream between StarryHub and the connected device without the need for a complex setup.
Before use, ClickDrop needs to be paired with StarryHub, and the process is very straightforward:
1. Insert ClickDrop into StarryHub via USB to begin pairing.
2. Wait for the “Pairing Complete” confirmation message to appear.
3. Remove ClickDrop and plug it into your laptop, where it will automatically detect and connect to StarryHub.
To start screen sharing, simply press the button on ClickDrop. This eliminates the need for extra cables, helping to keep the workflow neat and efficient.
Setup and Configuration of StarryHub
– Projection Performance of StarryHub. The projection performance of CZUR StarryHub is excellent. With 2200 ANSI lumens brightness and 1080P resolution, it remains clear even under indoor daylight conditions. However, when I dim the lights or draw the curtains to reduce screen glare, the visual experience improves significantly. The automatic keystone correction feature further enhances usability by automatically adjusting the image to be flat, square, and level, regardless of how the projector is positioned. The setup process is straightforward and hassle-free, making it easy even for tech novices.
– Projector Positioning and Screen Adjustment. I place the projector at a distance of approximately 1.8 meters (about 5 feet 11 inches), which results in a screen size of around 100 inches. (According to the official information, this is the best projection distance for the StarryHub.) If I want a larger projection size, I increase the distance accordingly, although the brightness may decrease as a result. When using the bottom stand, the device automatically performs keystone correction to ensure a flat and level image. I prefer placing the projector on the stand. If it’s in a meeting room, it’s best to position it in front of the table, but this may vary depending on the actual environment.
Meeting Performance & Features of StarryHub
1. Online Meeting Capabilities. The built-in Zoom app makes online meetings convenient. With this device, I was able to:
– Start or join meetings without needing a separate computer or phone
– Share my screen directly from the device
– Use AI-powered camera tracking, which follows the speaker automatically
The camera followed my motions while zooming in on my face during a Zoom meeting. It would shift attention on the speaker if there were other people there. The meeting experience is improved by our AI-powered auto-framing, which makes sure the appropriate individual is always visible.
2. Built-in Meeting Recording. The CZUR StarryHub also includes a screen recording feature, allowing me to:
– Record both audio and video from the built-in camera
– Capture meeting discussions for later reference
– Save recordings directly on the device

3. AI Noise Cancellation and Audio Quality. The device’s six built-in microphones guarantee crystal-clear audio. Additionally, it has noise cancellation that can be adjusted to high, medium, or low levels. During a conference, it was easy for others to hear me because my voice was clear no matter where I was in the room.
4. Peripheral Mode for External Devices. Peripheral Mode, which enables users to connect the CZUR StarryHub to a computer while still utilizing its speakers, microphone, and camera, is another helpful function. Users can improve their current settings without depending on built-in laptop webcams and microphones by choosing it as the preferred audio and video source in programs like Zoom.
5. Screencasting and Connectivity. The CZUR StarryHub supports multiple screen-sharing options, including:
– Chromecast
– Miracast
– AirPlay
– DLNA
It was easy to set up wifi screencasting. I connected my phone after installing the CZUR app, and my screen was projected onto the main screen in a matter of seconds. There was no discernible latency in the connection, which made it perfect for group projects or presentations. Casting up to four screens simultaneously is an amazing feature. I tested this by connecting my phone and my Mac with ClickDrop at the same time, and everything functioned perfectly. This function, which enables numerous participants to share content simultaneously, can be very helpful for business meetings.
All-in-one Meeting Room Solution
The CZUR StarryHub integrates a projector, camera, microphone, and speaker into one device, offering a high level of functionality while eliminating the hassle of complex wiring associated with traditional conference equipment. Its microphone can pick up sound within a 10-meter range, ensuring clear audio during meetings. It is particularly suitable for teams located in different places, as it keeps the focus on the speaker throughout the meeting, significantly enhancing the professionalism and convenience of video conferences. The device is lightweight and portable, making it easy to store and move.
However, despite this, some of its features still need improvement:
– The built-in speaker has a somewhat thin sound, which is suitable for meetings but underperforms when playing content with rich audio. An external speaker might be necessary to enhance the sound quality.
– The backlit buttons on the touchpad are hard to see in bright environments, making typing less intuitive. Additionally, the “Back” button is easy to accidentally press, which can cause apps to exit unexpectedly.
– Due to the wide range of features, users may need a learning process to get familiar with all the functions, which could be a bit challenging for beginners.
– The CZUR app store has limitations, and certain apps may need updates but lack clear instructions. While Google Play can be accessed through Chrome, compatibility is not guaranteed, requiring multiple attempts.
– While most apps work seamlessly, there is an odd occurrence where YouTube occasionally freezes, even though the projector is optimized for streaming. This seems to be more of an app-related issue rather than a hardware limitation.
My Thoughts
Although it has a few minor drawbacks, the CZUR StarryHub stands out as one of the most user-friendly office projectors available today. Its AI-powered microphone picks up clear sound within a 10-meter (32-foot) range, making it perfect for large conference rooms. While lighting adjustments may be needed, the StarryHub is easy to set up, keeps clutter to a minimum, and consistently delivers stable video quality.
