Tanix TX6 at first glance makes a very good impression. It is a small, very well and solidly made TV Box, with great attention to details. The device runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and ships with an IR remote control, an HDMI cable, a power adapter and a user’s manual in English. The Remote control works via Infra-Red and is a nice size that fits your very hand comfortable. Ther device supports a wide range of video and audio codecs, allowing you to enjoy most of your multimedia files. Ethernet, USB 3.0 port, Dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 ensures you never get short of connectivity options. Oher: The stock firmware runs very smooth and I didn’t find any problems. During my tests, I didn’t experienced any applications force closes and hangups. Google Play Store and gapps are working just fine. 3rd party apps downloaded and updated without issues.
Storage. Total Capacity: 32 GB of internal Storage, Space available: 24 GB. The device sees with no problem at all my Mixza Tohaoll 128GB SDXC Micro SD Memory Card and my Netac K330 1TB External HDD USB 3.0.
In Antutu Video Tester 3.0 Tanix TX6 TV Box scores 826 points, a very good score in this test ranking. It played smoothly 17 video file types; this firmware version partially supports 11 video & audio format files and it doesnt support only 2 file types. So, in short, this is a good multimedia player!
In Antutu Benchmark 7.1.4 the device achieves almost 50.000 points.
Wifi Internet speed tested gets also pretty good values. Wired, the Ethernet speed was 6Mbps in download and 96Mbps in upload. Wireless, we obtained over 141 Mbps in download and the upload speed was 129 Mbps for 5.8G. The router used in this test is Xiaomi Mi WiFi Router, mounted in another room.
