Meet BENFEI 5-in-1 Adapter Hub – A Great Solution for Modern Devices
Working with multiple devices every day, I’ve always struggled with the limited ports on modern laptops. When I came across the BENFEI 5-in-1 USB-C and USB-A to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter Hub, I decided to give it a try. After several weeks of daily use, I can confidently say this little hub has become an essential part of my workflow.
The hub feels solid and premium right out of the box. The aluminum alloy casing not only looks professional but also keeps the device cool, even after hours of heavy use. The braided nylon cable is another highlight—it’s flexible yet sturdy, and it doesn’t tangle easily. I’ve already bent it more times than I can count, and it shows no signs of wear. The design is also practical: the non-slip connector housing makes plugging and unplugging easier than with most hubs I’ve tried. The compact form factor means I can toss it in my laptop bag without worrying about damage or bulk.
What really makes the BENFEI hub stand out is its dual input support. I can plug it into either USB-C or USB-A, which means it works seamlessly with both my ultrabook and my older desktop PC. That flexibility is rare and extremely useful. The three USB 3.0 ports provide 5Gbps transfer speeds, which I tested by moving large media files from an external SSD—transfers were smooth and fast, exactly as advertised. I also appreciate the 5V/2A power supply input, which gives extra juice to power-hungry accessories like external hard drives.
On the networking side, the Gigabit Ethernet port has been a game-changer. I often switch between Wi-Fi and wired connections, and with this hub, I consistently hit close to 1Gbps speeds with zero interruptions. Whether I’m downloading large datasets or streaming 4K video, the connection feels rock solid.
I’ve tested the hub with a MacBook Pro, Dell XPS, and a Lenovo Yoga, and it worked perfectly with each. Setup was completely plug-and-play on Windows 10 and macOS Ventura. The only note is that older operating systems (like Windows 8 or early macOS versions) may require a Realtek driver, but for most modern devices, it’s instant and effortless. What impressed me most is its compatibility with not just laptops, but also iPads, Chromebooks, and even Android devices like the Samsung Galaxy Tab and Note series. It feels like a universal solution.
The BENFEI 5-in-1 USB Type-C and USB A to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter Hub is one of those tools you don’t realize you need until you start using it—and then you wonder how you ever worked without it. It delivers fast Ethernet, reliable USB expansion, durable build quality, and wide compatibility in one compact device.

Real-life scenarios where BENFEI 5-in-1 Adapter Hub can be quite useful
– Spotty Wi-Fi at a hotel or café. Swap to a stable wired connection for streaming or video calls without interruptions
– Urgent large file transfers. Copy large video files or backups via USB-A (5 Gbps speeds) instead of waiting on slow Wi-Fi
– Reliable video conferencing. When working remotely, use Ethernet for crystal-clear Zoom or Teams calls, avoiding dropped signals or jitter
– Low-lag gaming or Twitch streaming. For competitive gaming or live streaming, Ethernet provides lower latency and smoother performance than Wi-Fi
– Ethernet tethering from Android phone. During a home internet outage, share your phone’s mobile data via Ethernet—just plug in the hub with Ethernet and plug into the router or device
– Charging and connectivity in one. Many hubs (like some BENFEI models) support pass-through charging, so you stay powered while using all ports
– Traveling with limited laptop ports. Ultra-light travel setups—like on a MacBook Air or iPad Pro—get boosted with wired Internet plus USB and display access
– Pop-up offices or coworking setups. Fast setup: plug in the hub to get Ethernet, multiple USBs (keyboard, mouse, storage), and potentially display output all at once
– Using older USB peripherals. Plug in legacy devices—like scanners or printers using USB-A—on newer laptops with only USB-C ports
– Hot-swap convenience at home offices. Switch between devices (e.g., MacBook and Windows laptop) quickly using the single hub—no constant plugging/unplugging of cables
